GUJCET CounsellingGUJCET Counselling 2017: Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) will be the conducting body for GUJCET 2017 Counselling. Registrations for the counselling session will commence from June 1 and will be open till June 12, 2017. However before the registrations, the candidates will be required to pay the fees in the selected banks following which an Information Booklet and PIN for registrations will be provided to the candidates. While filling the application form for GUJCET 2017, the candidates will have to submit their valid information. Submission of the filled application form along with some other documents will have to be done at the Help Centers. The choice filling period will start from June 17. Selection of the candidates for GUJCET admission will be done on the basis of merit. The allotted candidates will have to confirm their admission online and pay the tuition fees. Procedure of GUJCET Counselling 2017

 

With the successful conclusion of the examination, all of the eligible candidates will be able to register themselves for the counselling of GUJCET 2017. Admissions into the participating engineering institutes in the state of Gujarat will be offered through GUJCET 2017 Counselling.

 

Step 1 – Payment of Registration Fee

 

All of the candidates who wish to register themselves for GUJCET Counselling 2017 will have to pay the registration fee to purchase the Information Booklet and PIN from any designated branch of Kotak Mahindra Bank. The payment of the fees has started and will be open till June 9, 2017. The 14 digit PIN is essential as no registrations can be done without this PIN.

Step 2 – Filling Online Application Form

 

The online registrations will be open from June 1, 2017 for all of those candidates who have paid the required fees and acquired the 14 digit PIN. The candidates will be allowed to apply for the GUJCET counselling session till June 12, 2017. The link will be available here as soon as it is activated online.

The GUJCET 2017 roll number will be used as the USER ID and the candidates will have to create a new password (atleast 6 and maximum 12 alphanumeric characters) for future login.

 

Declaration and Online Submission of Application Form

 

After reading the terms and conditions, the candidates can accept the declaration and submit the application form. The registration details will be previewed and the candidates are advised to go through their filled information to check if any mistakes have been made. If there any mistakes, the candidates will have to select “Edit Registration Details”. After making the necessary changes, the candidates can click on “Confirm Registration Details”. Finally, the candidates will have to print the filled application form for future use.

 

Step 3 - Submission of Application Form at Help Centres

 

After successfully filling the online application form, the candidates will have to submit the print out of the filled application form along with the other required documents at any nearby Help Centre. The officer at the Help Centre will verify the submitted documents. The photocopies will be verified with the original documents and the registration details along with the self attested documents will be retained. A registration slip with the signature and seal will be issued by the candidate once the documents are successfully submitted.

The candidates, who have passed HSC (Science Stream) examination from outside Gujarat and appeared in GUJCET 2017 are required to submit their Registration Details with relevant documents at the “Admission Committee for Professional Courses, Admission Building, L. D. College of Engineering Campus, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad-380 015”.

 

Documents to be Submitted with Application Form:

 

The candidates will have to submit the self – attested copies of the following documents along with the print out of the registration form at the Help Center:

  • 10th standard mark sheet

  • 12th standard mark sheet

  • GUJCET 2017 Result

  • School leaving certificate

  • Caste certificate

  • Category certificate for unreserved economically weaker section (UEWS) (if applicable)

  • Non-creamy layer certificate (if applicable)

  • Physically handicapped certificate for PWD candidates (if applicable)

  • Certificate of ex-serviceman (if applicable)

  • Copy of certificate of in-serviceman (if applicable)

  • Copy of certificate issued by the authority (if applicable)

  • Photograph of the candidates from other states

  • Any other certificate asked by the university

Step 4 – Online Choice Filling and Locking

 

For choice filling and locking, the shortlisted candidates will have to use their login ID and password. Link to access the choice filling section will be available here on June 17, 2017 as soon as it is activated. The available choices according to the eligibility of the candidates will be available. The candidates will have to sort their choices according to the institute name and/ or course name, district wise and more. A single choice can be filled at a time. The candidates will have the option of adding, removing, moving and swapping choices. After filling the choices, the candidates can do select of the following options:

  • Save Choices

  • Save and Exit

  • Modify Choices

  • Lock Choices – If the candidates are sure about their choices then he/she can lock their choices. The 14 digit PIN has to be entered to lock the choices. Modifying the locked choices can be done through “Unlock Choices”.

Step 5 – Seat Allotment of GUJCET 2017

 

Prior to the first round of seat allotment, a mock round will be held. The mock seat allotment result will be declared on June 27, 2017. Following the mock round, the candidates will be able to make their changes in the choices made and the first round of seat allotment will be declared on July 5, 2017 and the second round on July 24, 2017. Seats will be allotted to all of the registered candidates based on their merit. The candidates will be able to view their status of allotment online by logging in using their login ID and password.

 

If allotted, the candidate will be able to download their Information letter along with the bank fee challans showing the tuition fees. Payment of tuition fees has to be done through either online or offline mode. Admissions will be confirmed after payment of the fees. The candidates will then be able to print the admission slip.

 

Step 6 – Reporting at Allotted Institute

 

The candidates who are satisfied with their allotted institute and do not wish for upgradation will have to report at their allotted institute for enrollment with the required documents.

 

Highlights of GUJCET Counselling 2017

  • Payment of the registration fee has to be done before filling the online application form.

  • GUJCET 2017 registrations will commence from June 1, 2017. If the candidates are not able to fill the application form online then he/she will be able to fill the application form by visiting the nearest Help Centres.

  • The choice filling has to be done for the mock round. After the conclusion of the mock round, the candidates can change their choices.

  • The tuition fees has to be paid as soon as the seats are allotted to the candidates.

  • All document to be submitted has to be valid.

Frequently Asked Questions of GUJCET Counselling 2017

 

1. Where will the PIN and booklet be available and what is the cost?

 

The PIN and Booklet are now available from designated branches of Kotak Mahindra Bank

across the Gujarat State & Selvasa. The cost of the PIN and booklet is Rs.350/-

 

2. What should be done if the PIN is lost?

 

If the candidate has lost the PIN, then he/she will have to purchase a new PIN from Bank. In case the PIN is lost after registration, the student should approach the ACPC office at Ahmedabad with identification proof and Rs. 50/- for recovery of PIN.

 

3. Which documents are needed for the first time online registration for BE/B.Tech.?

 

For the online registration, the candidates will be needing the following documents:

  • Latest HSC mark sheet

  • GUJCET-2017 scorecard

 

4. What are the fees to be paid for registration at the help centre?

 

The help centres work absolutely free. No charge is to be paid at the designated help centres.

 

5. How can the registration details be edited before and after confirming?

 

Before confirmation of registration, the candidates can edit their registration details online.

After confirmation of registration, the candidates will have to reach any Help Centre for edit registration details.

 

6. Can a candidate change the filled choices?

 

Yes. The candidates will be able to change their filled choices till June 22 for the mock round, July 2 for the first round of seat allotment and July 20 for the second round.

 

7. If filled choices are not locked, is it safe to logout?

 

There is no need to lock filled choices until the candidates have completed their choice filling. However, the choices filled so far should be saved before logout.

 

8. How many times can choices be edited?

 

The choices can be edited as many times possible till the final date.

 

9. After allotment, in how many days do the candidates have to report at admitted institute?

 

The candidates will have to report at the admitted institutes within 3 working days i.e., if you don’t want to participate in next online round of Admission.

 

10. If the fees are already paid for admission in the first round, do the candidates have to pay the fees for subsequent rounds?

 

Yes, if the first round admission is in Govt./GIA institute and the candidates are getting admission in SFI college in the subsequent round, then the difference in Token Fee is to be paid. If the first round admission is on TFW Seat and the candidates are getting admission on Non -TFW Seat in the subsequent round, then the Token Fee is to be paid. The fee to paid in any round is printed on the Bank Challan copy to be auto-generated with information letter.
