HPCET M.TechHPCET M.Tech 2017 - Himachal Pradesh Technical University has announced the HPCET M.Tech 2017 answer Keys on May 13 after the exam concluded on the same day. The application forms for the HPCET M.Tech 2017 were available from March 3. Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech courses offered by Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HIMTU) will be selected based on their GATE scores or they have to apply for HPCET M. Tech 2017. Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) M. Tech 2017 was held on May 13, 2017. The application forms for the exam were to be submitted online. The last date to fill competed application forms was April 29, 2017. GATE-qualified candidates are exempted from appearing in the entrance test as they will be considered for direct admission. Also, HPCET M.Tech 2017 qualified candidates will be allotted seats only if there are vacancies left after all GATE Merit list candidates have been exhausted. If any seats remain vacant even after HPCET M.Tech qualified candidates have been exhausted, such seats will be filled based on the performance of candidates in their B.E./B.Tech degree awarded by a recognised University. When filling the HPCET M.Tech application form, the candidate needs to fulfill all the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the admissions committee and fill all necessary details. Also, images and scanned copies of signature must be uploaded in the prescribed format. Himachal Pradesh Technical University conducts admissions to M. Tech programmes in the university and its affiliated colleges/institutes. HPCET M.Tech Answer Key 2017

Candidates who have appeared for the HPCET 2017 on May 13 can download the answer key of HPCET announced by HPTU here at 4.30 pm on the exam day. Candidates can download the pdf provided here for CE, ECE, EE, CSE, ME and check the given answers to compare with their answers and calculate their probable scores. Candidates wishing to challenge the HPCET answer key can write to the University by May 16, 2017 along with documents supporting their claims. HPCET M.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2017

 

To take the HPCET M.Tech 2017, the candidate needs to meet the following HPCET eligibility criteria:

  • The applicants needs to have passed B.E/B.Tech in a relevant discipline with an aggregate of 50% (45% for reserved category students).

  • Only applicants who qualify either GATE or HPCET M.Tech 2017 will be considered for admission

HPCET M.Tech Application Form 2017

 

The application form of HPCET M.Tech 2017 is available from March 3 to April 29, 2017 in the online mode only.

Application Fees: Rs. 1550 (Rs. 1400 for ST/SC/BPL category candidates)

Payment Mode: The payment can be made either through offline using E-Challan (PNB) option OR online.

How to Apply: Application forms for HPCET M.Tech 2017 have to be submitted online. Candidates are requested to go through the Information Brochure that can be download from the university website before they fill the application form.

 

Steps to fill HPCET M.Tech Application Form 2017

The candidate needs to go through the following steps to complete the application process.

 

Step 1:Open Account

  • On the university website, Click Apply Online button.

  • Click on “Register Now” tag to open the Account Registration Form

  • Enter essential like your Name, User Name, Password, Date of Birth, email address and mobile number.

  • Click on Create Account

  • Successful submission will generate a Unique Form Number which will be displayed across the screen.

You must note down the Form Number, User Name, Password & Date of Birth for future reference.

 

Step 2: Log-in to fill the Application Form

  • Log-in to your Account

  • Enter the username, password and Application Form Number and Date of Birth in their appropriate boxes to open the Application Form

  • The Application Form is divided into four sections: Basic Form Detail, Upload Photo and Signature, Fee & Fee payment Detail and Confirmation Page

  • Basic Form Detail: Enter personal information like your name, parent’s name, nationality, and sex. You also have to enter details regarding your choice of programme, branch, preferred examination centre, category, and academic details in this section.

  • Upload Photograph and Signature: Upload a recent photograph of yours in JPEG/JPG format of size not exceeding 50 kb. Also upload the scanned copy of your signature in JPEG/JPG; the acceptable file size is 30 kb.

  • Pay the Application Fee: The candidate has to pay the application fee using either offline or online option. To make the payment offline, the candidate needs to click on “Offline link to generate PNB Challan”. The candidate has to take printouts of the challan and make the payment in the nearest PNB bank. After paying the fee, the candidate has to log-in again into there account after 24 hours and enter the transaction details.

  • Confirmation: Once you have duly filled all the essential fields and paid the application fee, the completed application form will appear under the Confirmation button. If you want to make any edits to the application form, it can be done by clicking on the Edit button. Otherwise you can click the Final Submit button to complete the process. Once you click Final Submit, the application form can’t be modified any further.

  • After final submission, take a printout of the application form. Take care that you don’t make changes to the form with pen/pencil, because doing so will lead to cancellation of your application

  • The printouts of the application form must be duly countersigned by the parent/guardian on the space provided.

  • The candidate then has to scan the signed copy and email it to [email protected]

HPCET M.Tech Admit Card 2017

 

The admit card of HPCET M.Tech 2017 will be available tentatively from first week of May 2017. The admit card/hall ticket is an important document that is not only required to take the exam but also for any further reference.

  • HPCET M.Tech 2017 Admit Cards can be downloaded from the university website by entering the appropriate Application Form number

  • The e-Admit Card will include the candidate’s name and photograph, address of the test centre and test date.

  • Discrepancies in the information displayed in the Admit Card must be brought to the notice of the Controller of Examinations, H.P. Technical University, Gandhi Chowk, Hamirpur (H.P.) immediately.

  • Printouts of the e-Admit card should be on A4 size paper only.

  • Information on the e-Admit card including photograph should be clearly visible on the print out

  • On exam day, the candidate needs to carry a valid Photo ID Proof along with the admit card

HPCET M.Tech Exam Pattern 2017

 

The candidate can go through the exam pattern of HPCET M.Tech 2017 below and make preparation strategies accordingly.

  • The exam will be conducted in single offline mode ((Pen and Paper Based Test)

  • Question paper will include multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with each question having four options.

  • The test will be of 3 hours duration and consist of 100 questions.

  • Each correct answer will carry two marks, while for every incorrect attempt 0.5 mark will be deducted.

HPCET M.Tech Result 2017

 

The result of HPCET M.Tech 2017 will be declared on or before May 29, 2017. GATE qualified candidates needn’t appear for HPCET M.Tech 2017, as they are eligible for direct counselling.

  • Candidates have to log-in to their accounts to check their Result.

  • The score sheet will include marks obtained by the candidates in HPCET M.Tech 2017.

  • The Merit List for admission will be announced separately for GATE-qualified and HPCET candidates

HPCET Counselling 2017

 

The counselling for HPCET M.Tech 2017 seats offered by HIMTU will be based on the following conditions:

  • GATE-qualified candidates will be called for counselling first.

  • If any seats remain vacant after all GATE-qualified candidates have been accommodated, those will be filled by HPCET M.Tech 2017 qualified candidates

  • GATE-qualified candidates don’t have to appear for HPCET M.Tech 2017, but fill the online application form for counselling. The Application Procedure is the same as for the HPCET M.Tech 2017 as mentioned above.

  • They have to pay the fees of Rs 1550 (Rs 1400 for reserved category students)

  • During counselling, candidates have to participate in document verification session and produce the specified documents in original along with one set of duly attested photocopies

  • Seats will be first allotted to GATE candidates and if there are any seats left, will go to HPCET M.Tech 2017 candidates.
