IIST B.Tech Admission 2024 - Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology will publish the IIST B.Tech 2024 admission notification online at the website, iist.ac.in. Candidates who wish to get admission to the B.Tech program offered at IIST need to complete the registration process online. The authority will release the IIST BTech application form 2024 on the official website. To apply for IIST B.Tech admission 2024, candidates must qualify the JEE Advanced exam. IIST B.Tech admission 2024 dates will be updated online. There shall be no IIST entrance exam for admission.

IIST B.Tech Application Form 2024
The authorities will release the application form of IIST B.Tech 2024 on the official website- iist.ac.in. The IIST B.Tech application form submission includes steps of registration, form filling, and payment of the application fee. Candidates must complete the application process for IIST Thiruvananthapuram btech admission.
Steps to fill IIST B.Tech Application Form
Candidates can refer to the following steps for filling out the application form of IIST B.Tech 2024-
Step 1: Registration and form filling- Candidates who appear for JEE Advanced 2024 and satisfy all the eligibility conditions will first have to register by entering basic details like name, mobile number, etc. Candidates will also be required to enter all other required details of the form. On successful registration, candidates will receive a system-generated IIST Registration Number. Candidates will also be needed to specify a password.
Candidates will also be required to upload a scanned image of their photograph uploaded during JEE Advanced 2024 registration in this step.
Step 2: Payment of Application fee- Once all the details are entered, candidates will have to pay the registration fee of IIST B.Tech 2024. Payment of the registration fee can be done in online mode only by clicking on the “Pay Registration Fee” link. Receipt of payment will be confirmed through registered Email and mobile number.

IIST B.Tech Admission 2024 Rank List
The authorities will release the IIST B.Tech Admission rank list 2024 on the official website. The IIST B.Tech 2024 rank list will be generated only for eligible candidates who have completed their registration and paid the fee before the last date. The IIST B.Tech rank list is prepared only on the basis of JEE Advanced scores. The authorities will also follow a tie-breaking rule in case of similar marks obtained by two or more candidates in the JEE Advanced 2024 examination.
IIST B.Tech Admission Rank List: Tie-breaking Rule
In case of a tie, candidates with higher marks in Mathematics will be given a higher rank.
If a tie still persists, candidates with higher marks in Physics will be given a higher rank.
If a tie still persists, candidates with a higher rank in JEE Main 2024 examination (in the respective category) will be assigned a higher rank.
IIST B.Tech Counselling and Seat Allotment 2024
The authorities conduct the IIST B.Tech 2024 counselling and seat allotment in online mode. Candidates can refer to the complete IIST B.Tech counselling and seat allotment 2024 process given below-
IIST B.Tech 2024 Counselling: Filling-in of Branch Preferences
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the IIST B.Tech admission rank list will have to fill their preferences of branches during registration.
IIST B.Tech counselling will not be completed without entering branch preferences.
Candidates are advised to submit their branch preferences before the last date. The choices filled by the candidates will get automatically locked after the last date.
Candidates will not be allowed to make changes to their choices after locking.
IIST B.Tech Seat Allotment 2024
Detailed schedule of IIST B.Tech seat allotment/Acceptance rounds will be released by the authorities.
Based on available vacancies, IIST B.Tech seat allocation will be done in order of merit as per the preferences filled in by the candidates.
Candidates satisfied with the IIST B.Tech seat allotment will have to choose the Freeze option and proceed to confirm seat acceptance.
Candidates choosing the Freeze option will not be further considered for their higher preferences, if any.
Candidates who wish to be considered for their higher preferences but want to confirm their allotted seat will be required to choose the Slide option and proceed to confirm seat acceptance.
Branch choices will automatically slide up as per the preference order filled-in by the candidates on the basis of available vacancies and merit.

Candidates opting for the Freeze or Slide options during an IIST B.Tech seat allocation round will be required to accept the seat. First of all, candidates will have to pay the First Semester Fee amounting to INR 34000 (charges towards Hostel and Dining amounting to INR 14400 will be collected on arrival at IIST) before the specified date in online mode. Next, the candidates will be required to upload the scanned documents as mentioned below-

No in JoSAA Counselling, there are IIITs, NITs, GFTIs, IITs.
JEE Advanced score is only applicable to get admission into IIT. But to take admission into rest of the institutes.
