IIST M.Tech Admission 2026 - The IIST has declared the IIST M.Tech rank list 2026 on June 29, 2026. The IIST M.Tech 2026 rank list link has been updated on the official website, iist.ac.in. To check the IIST M.Tech rank list, students need to login through their credentials. Admission to other M.Tech branches will be conducted through CCMT counselling. Candidates must have a valid GATE 2026 score to be eligible for admission to the M.Tech programme at IIST Thiruvananthapuram. The IIST M.Tech 2026 application form was available online from May 12 to June 04, 2026, on the official website. Eligible candidates had to complete and submit the application before the deadline. The application process included registration, filling in personal and academic details, selecting the preferred M.Tech course, uploading the required documents, and paying the application fee. Candidates can follow the steps below to complete the IIST M.Tech 2026 application form.

Step 1: Registration - Candidates had to first register for the IIST M.Tech 2026 application using a valid email ID. During registration, they need to upload scanned copies of the required documents, a passport-size photograph, and their signature. The files should be in JPG/JPEG format and less than 100 KB in size. After uploading the documents, candidates must fill in their personal details, educational qualifications, and communication address. Once the registration is completed successfully, the registration number and login password will be sent to the candidate's registered email ID.
Step 2: Course registration - After completing the registration, candidates must log in using their registration number and password. They should then select their preferred M.Tech course and fill in all the required details in the application form. After successfully submitting the application, a fee registration number will be generated. Candidates should download and print the fee registration number for future reference.
Step 3: Payment of the application form - Using the fee registration number, candidates will have to make the payment of the IIST M.Tech 2026 application form through SBI Collect.

The authority will release the IIST M.Tech cutoff on the official website. The IIST MTech 2026 cutoffs is the minimum score required for candidates to be eligible for admission. The IIST M.Tech 2026 rank list has been released online on June 29, on the official website. It contains the names of candidates shortlisted for the admission process based on their GATE scores. Shortlisted candidates can download their interview call letters from the official website. Candidates who are shortlisted must confirm their willingness to participate in the admission process by selecting the "Revalidate and Proceed" option on the admission portal. Those who will not complete this step will not be considered for further seat allotment.
However, interviews are not required for admission to M.Tech programmes offered by the Department of Aerospace Engineering, the Department of Mathematics, and the Department of Avionics for Digital Signal Processing, RF and Microwave Engineering, and VLSI and Microsystems.
Candidates shortlisted for the interview must attend it on the scheduled date and time. The authority will conduct interviews for only M.Tech programmes offered by the Departments of Chemistry, Earth and Space Sciences, Physics, and Avionics. The interview centres will be New Delhi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Thiruvananthapuram. Applicants who will choose New Delhi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, or Hyderabad will also be able to attend the interview through video conferencing. The final IIST M.Tech admission list 2026 will be prepared based on the candidate's GATE score, interview performance, number of available seats, and the preferences submitted during the admission process.
