JEE Advanced 2021 Paper 1 was conducted from 9 AM to 12 AM. After talking to a cross-section of students about the pattern, difficulty level and marking scheme, we came up with the conclusion that there was a slight change in the pattern with 57 questions in all i.e. 19 each from the three subjects. It was a paper of 180 marks. Each subject had four sections A, B, C and D.

The student further opined that the topic coverage was full in Physics, more or less complete in Chemistry, whereas, there were very few questions from Calculus. Probability (4) Matrices and Determinants (4) were notable mentions. Overall, it was an easy to moderate paper with M>C>P as the subject-wise difficulty level.
JEE advanced 2021 conducted with the conduction of paper 2. It was again a paper of 180 as maximum marks with significant changes in pattern from paper- 1. Pattern of paper to is given in below matrix

Physics: The Physics portion was considered easy to moderate by a majority section of students. 6 questions from Mechanics, 6 from electrodynamics, 3 from modern physics, 2 each from optics and heat and thermodynamics constituted the paper. About 7 questions were observed to be easy, 9 were observed to be moderate and the remaining 3 were difficult.
Chemistry: This segment was tricky for some students. The topic coverage was complete. There was about 7 question word from physical chemistry, 6 from inorganic chemistry and the remaining six from organic chemistry, students found this section moderate to difficult. About 5 questions can be categorized on easy 12 questions were moderate and two questions for difficult.
Mathematics: Mathematics portions was the two largest of all subject there were about 5 questions from algebra 7 questions from calculus and 5 questions from co-ordinate geometry question were also asked from vectors and trigonometry
There were very few easy pickings in this portion student of open that only two questions were easy 13 questions were moderate whereas for question word of difficult category overall difficulty level wise the order is M>C>P.

Physics Feedback -Paper was little difficult and almost all questions from within the syllabus, though a little calculative.
Chemistry Feedback - Paper was easy to moderate and questions asked were within syllabus. Physical chemistry had little higher percentage of questions as compared to Organic & Inorganic chemistry. The questions were based on NCERT text books.
Maths Feedback- Paper was little calculative and lengthy. Algebra & calculus portion was higher, similar to last year.

Physics
The total number of questions that were asked was 18
There were no lengthy questions
Total marks for the paper was 61
Most questions were asked from heat & thermodynamics and magnetism
The paper was of moderate difficulty level
Chemistry
Most questions were asked from the NCERT syllabus with only a few outside NCERT syllabus
Questions were conceptual in nature
There were 18 questions of 61 marks
Out of the 18 questions asked, 8 were from physical chemistry, 6 from organic and 4 from inorganic

Basic understanding was enough to solve most questions

Physics
The physics section was more difficult than paper 1 of JEE Advanced 2017
There was ambiguity in one of the questions on rotational mechanics
Questions were asked from the difficult chapters of Physics and they sought to understand the analytical skills of the students
There were nine questions which were asked from mechanics, while 7 from electromagnetism and 1 each from Modern Physics and Optics
The physics section was 56% moderately difficult, 39% difficult and 5% easy
Chemistry
In paper 2, chemistry section was difficult
Conceptual knowledge was required to answer questions from organic chemistry
Questions from Physical chemistry required critical thinking of the basic concepts
It was a low scoring section
39% of the questions were difficult, while 33% were moderately difficult and 28% were easy
Six questions each were asked from organic, inorganic and physical chemistry
Mathematics
Questions were mostly asked from topics like integral calculus, 3D, Vector
The mathematics section was easy to moderately difficulty level
There was an ambiguity in one of the questions
