The JEE Main 2015 Offline exam was held on April 4 while the computer based exam was held on April 10 and April 11. Further to the JEE Main 2015 result declaration, an All India Rank (AIR) of JEE Main 2015 applicants will be declared based on the composite score of JEE Main score and class XII board result marks with a weightage of 60:40 for the two scores. The All India JEE Main Rank List for participation in the centralised counseling for NITs, IIITs, CFTI/SFTI will be declared on June 24.

JEE Main 2015 had more than 13 lakh registered candidates. Out of these, the top 1.5 lakh candidates were eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2015 exam, which was held on May 24, 2015. The Engineering entrance exam carried a total of 90 questions equally divided in three sections- Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The total marks for the question paper was 360 with 4 marks for each correct answer and negative marking of 1 mark for an incorrect response. There were no marks for un-attempted questions.
