The examination analysis of JEE Main 2017 by Career Point shows the overall pattern and difficulty level of the exam. JEE Main 2017 Paper I has concluded successfully on April 2, 2017. 4 codes were distributed to the students – A, B, C and D. The total number of questions were 90 (30 from each section).

 

Overall Analysis Of JEE Main 2017 Paper I

  • The paper was said to be a little easier as compared to last year’s JEE Main examination.

  • The question paper required high speed, accuracy and factual information.

  • Physics was easy as compared to the previous year.

  • Mathematics section was lengthy.

  • Chemistry section was average scoring and consisted one question from Inorganic Chemistry with incorrect formation.

  • 3 questions in the paper were exclusively from the syllabus of JEE Main 2017 i.e., the topics are not included in the syllabus of JEE Advanced.

  • As per Career Point, the expected cutoff will be almost the same as that of last year.

Candidates can check  their JEE Main Result 2017 on April 27.Challenge of the JEE Main 2017 Answer Key will be open from April 18-22, 2017. 

 

Subject Wise Analysis of JEE Main 2017 Paper I

 

Physics: Many of the questions in this section were similar to the previous year and were conceptual but lengthy in calculation. The paper was easier as compared to last year’s with 50% questions being average, 47% easy and 3% of difficult level.

 

Chemistry: All of the topics were as per the NCERT syllabus with the physical and inorganic section being similar to the previous year’s questions. One question of inorganic part contained incorrect data. 73.33% questions were average, 23.3% were easy 3.3% questions were difficult. The overall paper was above average and more scoring as compared to previous year’s paper.

 

Mathematics: The section was lengthy especially those questions from Coordinate geometry. One question from Mathematical Reasoning was asked which is only in the JEE Main syllabus. The overall paper was average scoring with 63.4% questions being average, 20% easy and 16.6% of difficult level.
