JEE Main Application Form 2017JEE Main Application Form 2017 - CBSE will enable the facility of JEE Main 2017 application form correction from January 25 to February 3. All registered candidates can edit or make corrections/changes in their details/particulars in the application form of JEE Main 2017. Candidates have to pay additional fee (if applicable) through credit/debit card/E-wallet (SBI buddy/Paytm) or through e-challan generated during the online correction by cash in the Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC Bank between January 25 to February 4, 2017. As per CBSE, the dates will not extend further, thus, all candidates must make the changes in the application form of JEE Main 2017 within the time frame. Earlier, CBSE has extended the last date of JEE Main Application Form submission till January 16, 2017, which was earlier January 2. The JEE Main application fee can be paid till January 17, 2017 (11.59 PM) now. Payment can be done via net banking/debit card/credit card, E-Challan, Paytm and SBI Buddy. JEE Main application form 2017 was made available from December 1 onwards. The other terms and conditions for online submission of application form remain the same. The last date of online submission of JEE Main 2017 application form will not be extended any further. Candidates must ensure that before filling JEE Main application form 2017, they meet the eligibility criteria of JEE Main 2017.

As per JEE Main 2017 official notification released by MHRD, ‘All the Indian citizen candidates should possess AADHAAR Card issued by UIDAI with their correct details’. Since Aadhaar Card Number is mandatory to fill JEE Main application form 2017, candidates have to enter details validated with the UIDAI’s data. Without Aadhaar numbers, the candidates can't fill JEE Main application form by any means. However, Aadhaar Card number is not required by the candidates belonging to the states of Assam, Meghalaya and Jammu & Kashmir. Candidates from these 3 states have to enter their passport number, bank account number, ration card number or any other valid government identity number while filling the application form of JEE Main 2017. Remove Discrepancy in Uploaded Image(s)

 

CBSE had made available the facility to edit and remove discripency in the uploaded images in JEE Main application form 2017 from December 10 onwards. Applicants who have filled the JEE Main application form and paid the required exam fee can edit/correct images in the application form by logging in through their application number and password.

What's new in JEE Main Application Form 2017?

  • CBSE has added a new feature of Application Fee Calculation in JEE Main 2017 Application Form 2017 wherein candidates can calculate their JEE Main 2017 application fee as per their category and mode of test.

  • Apart from Credit Card/Debit Card/E-challan, JEE Main 2017 Application Fee can also be paid through Paytm and SBI Buddy.

Instructions before filling JEE Main Application Form 2017 

  • Before filling up JEE Main 2017 application form , the candidates should have scanned image of their photograph and signature.

  • These scanned images are to be uploaded during the submission of JEE Main application form 2017.

  • The photograph should be colour or b/w (but clear contrast) with name of the candidate and date of taking the photograph printed on it. Polaroid photos and unclear photographs are liable to be rejected.

  • Candidates may keep 6-8 identical photographs in reserve for use at the time of JEE Main 2017 entrance exam, Seat Allocation and admission process.

  • The applicant’s name should be same as in class XII/qualifying examination. Confirmation page or any other documents is not required to be sent to JEE Main office.

  • As all the communication will happen though email or SMS, the applicants should be ready with a valid email ID and a mobile number before applying for JEE Main 2017.

How to fill JEE Main Application Form 2017

 

Step 1 - Online Registration

 

Registration for JEE Main 2017 will be the first step which an aspirant will have to follow while starting to fill the JEE Main application form 2017.

 

How to register for JEE Main 2017?

  • Click on “Apply for JEE Main 2017”

  • Go through all the instructions prudently and tick the check box

  • Click on “Proceed to apply online” button

  • Click on Submit button

While registering JEE Main 2017, fill the following details:

  1. State of eligibility

  2. State's name

  3. Board name

  4. Year of passing

  5. Roll number (if allotted) and security pin

Note: For registration, aspirants have to first generate a password, which should be between 8 and 13 characters. It should also contain a capital letter, a small case letter, a special character & a number.

Step 2 – Fill Personal & Academic Details

  • Exam Related Particulars: The candidates have to select/choose exam, exam mode, question paper medium and test centres

  • Personal Particulars: Fill in personal details like applicant’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, category, nationality, etc

  • Academic Particulars: The candidates have to mention details in this step like their year of passing 10th, year of passing 12th, name of the board (10th and 12th), institution type, roll number, place of class 12th passed/appeared

  • Mailing Address Particulars: Enter your mailing address details along with city, state, pin code, contact number, emila ID, etc.

  • Other Particulars: In other particulars, the aspirants have to enter details of their guardians like their annual income, occupation and educational qualification. Now they have to choose a password and a security pin/code. Further the security pin/code has to be entered and then click on “Next” button

Final submission of JEE Main 2017 Application Form

  • Candidates can review the details they have provided through the review window that will open on their system.

  • After reviewing/cross-checking all details, they must click on “Final Submit” button

Step 3 – Upload Scanned Images

  • Click on “Upload Scanned Images”

  • Click on “Choose File” to select and upload scanned images of your photograph and signature

  • Click on preview button and upload your scanned images

Step 4 - Pay Application Fee

  • Once the candidates are done with uploading the scanned images, the next step would involve JEE Main 2017 application fee payment.

  • Candidates can pay the application fee through credit card/debit card/e-wallet (SBI Buddy/Paytm) or through e-challan. In case of e-challan, the payment should be made in the Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC Bank in cash.

JEE Main 2017 Application Fee payment

 

Candidates can choose any of the four option to pay JEE Main 2017 application form fee. They must cross-check all details carefully before opting for payment as no changes can be made after the fees is paid.

  • Through Credit Card: Candidates paying through credit card have to pay additional charges: 1.20% of the examination fee plus service tax as applicable

  • Through Debit Card: Applicants paying JEE Main 2017 application fee through debit card have to apy additional charges: 0.75% of the examination fee plus taxes for examination fee up to Rs. 2000 and 1% + taxes for examination fee more than Rs. 2000.

  • Through e-Challan: E-challan is generated after JEE Main application form 2017 is submitted successfully online.

  • Cash: For e-challan, applicants can pay JEE Main 2017 application fee through cash at any branch of Syndicate Bank, Canara Bank, HDFC and ICICI Bank.

  • SBI Buddy: Rs.20 per transaction plus the service tax as applicable
  • Paytm: 1.50% of the examination fee plus the service tax as applicable

Note: Fee submitted by any other mode like money order, demand draft, IPO etc. will be rejected. In case of payment through net banking and card, the applicants have to mention their card details, while for payment through E-challan, they have to generate the e-challan after JEE Main 2017 application form submission, take a printout of it and make the payment through cash at the nearest branches of Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC Bank.

Important points related to JEE Main 2017 password

 

While filling JEE Main application form, the applicants would be required to choose a password, a security question and its answer. All applicants are strictly advised to preserve/keep safe the password for all future use/references.

  • While setting the password, the candidates must bear in mind the following points:

  • The password should be 8 to 13 characters

  • It should include at least one upper case and at least one lower case alphabet

  • The password should have at least one numeric value

  • It should also include at least one special characters like!@#$%^&*-

  • Candidates will be able to login

  • Using their respective system generated Application Number and the chosen password, the candidates will be able to directly login in their subsequent logins.

  • They should avoid sharing their password with anybody to prevent its misuse.

  • Applicants are advised not to forget to logout at the end of their session, to prevent any kind of tampering of the candidates’ details/particulars or modified by unauthorized people.

Resetting JEE Main 2017 Password

 

Aspirants can change or reset JEE Main 2017 password through:

  • Security question and answer chosen by you during application form filling

  • Verification code sent on your registered mobile number

  • Using a reset link sent to you on your registered email ID

What if you forget your JEE Main 2017 Application Number?

 

If you forget your application number and have trouble for signing in after the registration, click on "I can't access my account?"

  • A new window will open wherein you need to click on "I forgot my JEE Main Application number"

  • Again a new window will be displayed on your system screen wherein you need to enter the following details:

  • Candidate's Name (As you have entered during the application form filling)

  • Mother's Name (As entered during the application form filling)

  • Father's Name (As entered during the application form filling)

  • Candidate's Date of Birth

  • State of Eligibility

  • Case Sensitive Security Pin (As reflected on the window itself)

  • After filling all these details, click on either "Reset" or "Submit Button"

  • After submitting the details, the portal will help you recover you JEE Main 2017 Application Number.

 

JEE Main 2017 - Important points to remember

  • Don’t forget to download the generated acknowledgement receipt after successful submission of JEE Main 2017 application form and preserve it.

  • The system will generate an application number for the candidates after the submission of JEE Main application form 2017. This JEE Main application number must be kept safe by the candidates or noted down as this will be there login ID along with the chosen password.

  • Keep with you 6-8 identical photographs for future references till admissions. The photographs needs to be the same as ones used in JEE Main application form 2017.

Q. I don't have an Aadhaar Card but I belong to Delhi. Am I not eligible for applying in JEE Main 2017?

 

Ans: Applicants not yet enrolled for Aadhaar, are required to make application for Aadhaar enrolment in case he/she is entitled to obtain Aadhaar as per section 3 of Aadhaar Act. Such applicant may visit any Aadhaar enrolment facilitation centres set up in JEE Main exam cities.

 

Q. Does applying for Aadhaar Card invlove any cost?

 

Ans: No amount will be charged for applying for Aadhaar Card.

 

Q. What if I have enrolled for Aadhaar but I don't receive my Aadhaar Card within the stipulated time?

 

Ans: In that case, you should enter 28 digit Aadhaar Enrolment ID printed on the Aadhaar enrolment slip at the time of filling online application form for JEE Main 2017.

 

Q. What if no Aadhaar enrolment facility is available at any JEE Main 2017 test centre?

 

Ans: In case Aadhaar enrolment facility is not available at the facilitation centres, the applicants should submit a request for Aadhaar enrolment. The facilitation centre will issue a registration number to such applicants. This registration number should be entered by the applicants at the time of filling online JEE Main application form2017.

 

Q. What would JEE Main 2017 aspirants from the states of Assam, Jammu & Kashmir and Meghalaya enter as their identity proof while filling the JEE Main application form 2017?

 

Ans: The applicants who have passed or appearing in Class XII examination from the states of J&K, Assam & Meghalaya need to enter the passport number, ration card number, bank account number or any other valid Govt. identity number provided they should select the city of examination in these states only.

 

Q. In case a transaction fails while paying the fee, what needs to be done?

 

Ans: If the payment status of online transaction (by credit/debit card) is not communicated by payment gateway in real time, then fee payment is not completed. In this case, the candidates are required to pay the fees again either through online transaction or by e-challan and to download the acknowledgement page. Your amount of failed transaction of credit/debit card will be refunded back within 7 to 10 days.

 

In case, fee payment is made through e-challan and the fee is not updated on the website, the candidate has to contact the concerned bank/branch for updation of fee. However, such candidates may also send the copy of paid e-challan through e-mail on [email protected]
