Karnataka CET (KCET) Counselling 2017 - The selection of the applicants for admission will be done through the process of counselling. Those admission committee of Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will be conducting Karnataka CET Counselling 2017 tentatively in the month of June 2017. The applicants who have qualified the entrance examination and are ranked in the merit list will be termed eligible for the counselling session. The process of KCET 2017 Counselling will be held both in offline and online mode. The registration process and selection of colleges and courses will be done in online mode whereas the verification of documents will be done in offline mode. The entrance examination of Karnataka CET 2017 will be conducted on May 2 and May 3, 2017. Only the registered applicants will be able to participate in the admission session. The application process is available from January 27 to February 27, 2017. The eligible applicants who are selected for the counselling process will be announced in the merit list which will announced tentatively in May 2017.
Karnataka CET (KCET) 2017 Counselling Procedure
The entire counselling process of Karnataka CET 2017 will be held tentatively in the month of June 2017. The applicants will have to go through registration, verification, choice filling and allotment to get admission into the participating institutes under Karnataka CET 2017. The following procedure can be followed by the applicants who are selected for the KCET counselling session.
Step 1 – Registration
The applicants will have to report to their closest Helpline Centre to register themselves for the counselling session. The list of Helpline Centres will be available here when it is released by the admission committee. The application number generated while filling the form has to be provided at the centre for verification purpose.
Step 2 – Verification of Documents
While reporting to the Helpline Centres, the applicants will also have to undergo document verification. The original documents of the applicants will have to be submitted. After the applicants are successfully verified, a unique User ID and Password will be provided to them along with a Unique Keyword in a verification slip.
Documents to be submitted
The applicants will have to bring the original documents along with one set of photocopies. After verification, the original documents will be returned to the applicants while the photocopies will be retained by the admission committee.

Step 3 – Choice Filling and Locking
The next step is for the applicants to fill and lock their choice of colleges and courses. The applicants will have to enter their allotted User ID and Password to log in. The category wise, course wise and college wise seat matrix will be uploaded in the website. The applicants will have to enter their application number and Unique Keyword. After being successfully logged in the applicants will have to select their preferred colleges and courses as per their eligibility. There will be no limit of entering the options. After selection, the applicants will have to click on “Submit” and log out.
Allotment Process of Karnataka CET 2017
The applicants will be allotted seats in online mode. Allotment will be done based on the applicant’s merit and preference of seats. The list of the allotted applicants will be published in online mode. The selected applicants will have to take a print out of the admission letter and report at their alloted institute. Payment of fees have to be done after which the admission of the applicants will be confirmed.
Only those applicants who manage to meet the cutoff of Karnataka CET 2017 will be allowed to participate in the counselling session. If the applicants fail to register and get themselves verified then they will not be allotted any seats.
