Karnataka CET (KCET) Counselling 2017

Karnataka CET (KCET) CounsellingKarnataka CET (KCET) Counselling 2017 -  Karnataka Examinations Authority has announced the schedule for Karnataka CET 2017 counselling. The document verification for the PH, sports and NCC category students was held from June 1 to 3. Document verification for the KCET 2017 counselling for the all other candidates has started from June 5. The last date for document verification has been extended till June 23 (6 pm) now. Candidates who have not been able to get their documents verified can get them verified now. Earlier, the last date for KCET 2017 document verification was June 21, 2017. Candidates must first complete their document verification to be eligible for option entry and subsequent seat allotment. Option entry is now open for all registered and verified candidates. The registration process and selection of colleges and courses will be done in online mode whereas the verification of documents is done in offline mode. The seat allotment process is held in online mode. The list of the allotted candidates will be released online. All Karnataka CET (KCET) seat allotment will be done based on the ranking of the candidates in the merit list, his/her preference and availability of seats. The entrance examination of Karnataka CET 2017 was conducted on May 2 and May 3, 2017. Only the registered applicants will be able to participate in the admission session. The application process was available from January 27 to February 27, 2017.

 

What's New in KCET Counselling 2017?

  • Data of all 2nd PUC Students have been obtained from PUE department od Karnataka and displayed while applying online with the help of the student number. Candidates were also given the chance to edit the details if needed

  • Supernumerary Quota of 5% of the seats in each college and in each course will be reserved over and above the seat matrix issued by the Government for students whose annual income of the family from all the sources is less than Rs.6.00 Lakhs. The tuition fee prescribed by the Government in that particular college will be waived off. Candidates have to pay the other fees only. Except for the B.Arch courses,  it is available for all courses and for all candidates including General Merit

Karnataka CET 2017 Eligibility Criteria and Document list for verification

Documents to be produced

A

  • Candidates should have studied and passed in one or more Government or Government recognised educational institutions located in the State of Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN academic years commencing from 1st standard to 2nd PUC / 12th standard as on July 1, 2017 and must have appeared and passed either SSLC / 10th standard or 2nd PUC / 12th standard examination from Karnataka State.

  • In case of the candidate who had taken more than one year to pass a class or standard, the years of academic study is counted as one year only.

  •  SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card

  • 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate,

  • Candidate's Study Certificate;

  • Rural quota: - Rural Study Certificate from 1st to 10th Std for Ten Complete Years.

  • Kannada Medium quota: Kannada Medium Study Certificate from 1st to 10th Std for Ten Complete Years. 

  • Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Concerned Tahsildar- For SC / ST in Form-D, Category-I in form E and 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B in Form F if applicable

B

  • Candidates should have studied and passed either 1st and 2nd year Pre-University Examination or 11th and 12th standard examination within the State of Karnataka from an Educational Institution run or recognized by the State Government

  • Either of the parents should have studied in Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN years.

  •  SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card

  • 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate

  • Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar- For SC / ST in Form-D, Category-I in Form-E and 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B in Form-F if applicable

  • A study certificate for either of the parent having studied for at least 7 years in Karnataka from the Head of the educational institution where he / she had studied.

  • Candidate's study certificate for having studied both 1st & 2nd PUC or 11th & 12th standard in Karnataka issued by the head of the educational institution

C

  • The candidate and either of the parent's mother tongue should be Kannada, Tulu or Kodava

  • Either of parent must have been domiciled in the state of Karnataka,

  • Such a candidate should have passed the qualifying examination from a University or Board or any other Institution located outside Karnataka and should be residing outside the State of Karnataka as on May 1, 2017.

  • The candidate shall undergo a Kannada Language test conducted by KEA.

 
  • SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card

  • 2nd PUC /12th standard Marks Card of the candidate

  • A domicile certificate issued by the concerned Revenue or Municipal Authorities certifying that the candidate and his either of parent have resided outside the state of Karnataka as on May 1, 2017. The place of the Issuing authority should correspond to the place of domicile of the candidate / father / motherA domicile certificate issued by concerned Revenue Authorities of the state of Karnataka regarding the previous domicile of the father / mother of the candidate as a place in the state of Karnataka. The place of the Issuing authority should correspond to the place of domicile of the father / mother.

  • Candidate's Study certificate, Transfer Certificate.

  • Father / Mother 10th standard marks card / cumulative record in original, in support of mother tongue as Kannada / Tulu / Kodava.

  • A duly sworn declaration regarding mother tongue of the candidates.

D

  • A candidate whose mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu or Kodava should have resided and studied for a period of SEVEN YEARS between 1st and 12th standards in disputed Kannada speaking area of South Sholapur or Akkalkot or Jath or Gadhinglaj Taluks of Maharashtra State or Kasargod or Hosadurga or Manjeshwar Taluks of Kerala State.

  • Candidates shall undergo a Kannada Language test conducted by KEA.

 
  • SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card 

  • 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate along with.

  • Residential certificate from the concerned Tahsildar of the respective disputed Taluk.

  • Candidate's study certificate issued by the head of institution, which should be countersigned by Taluk Education Officer.

  • A duly sworn declaration regarding mother tongue of the candidate

E

  • In the case of a candidate who is son or daughter of defence personnel who has worked continuously in Karnataka for a minimum period of one year in Karnataka during the Two year period of study of candidates in PUC / 11th and 12th Standard course.

  • The candidate should have studied and passed the qualifying examination from any Government or Government recognised educational institution located in the State of Karnataka

 
  • SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card.

  • The candidate's study certificate for having studied 2nd PUC or equivalent examination in Karnataka issued by the head of the educational institution.

  • Employment certificate of the parent issued by the Controlling Office where the parent is working indicating the period during which he has worked in the State of Karnataka i.e., from the reporting date to till date.

F

  • Son or daughter of serving Defence personnel from Karnataka who at the time of joining the Defence service had declared his / her hometown a place in the State of Karnataka.

  • Candidate should have passed the Q. E. from a University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India

 

  • SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card.

  • 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate;

  • Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Concerned Tahsildar  if applicable

  • Parent's home town declaration certificate while joining the service issued by respective branch of integrated HQ of MoD for Officers and respective Record Offices for JCOs / OR

G

  • A candidate who is a son or daughter of a defence personnel who had served in Karnataka for at least one year and is posted on duty in Field / Active Service and whose family is permitted by Defence Authorities to continue to stay in Karnataka.

  • Such candidate should have studied and passed the qualifying examination from any Government or Government recognised educational institution located in Karnataka

 
  • SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card.

  • 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card

  • Study certificate for having studied 2nd PUC or equivalent examination in Karnataka issued by the head of the educational institution.

  • Service certificate of the parent issued by the Controlling Office indicating the period during which the parent has worked in Karnataka and a certificate showing the present place of posting, indicating that his family is permitted to stay in Karnataka. The present working place of the parent should be indicated in NAME and not by CODE NUMBERS.

H

  • Son or daughter of an ex-servicemen who at the time of joining the defence service had declared a place in Karnataka as his home town

  • The candidate should have passed the Q. E. from a University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India

 
  • SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card.

  • 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate;

  • Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Concerned Tahsildar- For SC / ST in Form-D, Category-I in Form-E and 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B in Form-F if applicable

  • Parent's home town declaration certificate while joining the service issued by the Joint Director / Deputy Director of the concerned district and countersigned by the Director, Department of Sainik Welfare and Resettlement, Bangalore.

I

  • In the case of a candidate being a son or daughter of an employee of the Union Government or an employee of the Union or Karnataka State Government Undertaking or Joint Sector Undertaking, who is liable to be transferred anywhere in India as per the terms and conditions of his employment and has worked in Karnataka for a minimum period of one year in Karnataka during the Two year period of study of candidates in PUC / 11th and 12th Standard course

  • Such a candidate must have studied and passed the qualifying examination from any Government or Government recognised educational institution located in the State of Karnataka

 
  • SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card.

  • 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate

  • Study certificate for having studied 2nd PUC or equivalent examination in Karnataka issued by the head of the educational institution.

  • A certificate from the  as per the KCET ranksemployer indicating the parent's period of employment in the State of Karnataka and also showing that he is transferable anywhere in India.

  • A certificate from employer indicating parent as an employee of Union Government or an employee of the Union or Karnataka State Government Undertaking or Joint Sector Undertaking.

J

  • Son or daughter of a working or retired employee of the Union Government or employee of Union or Karnataka State Government undertaking or Joint Sector undertaking where such employee; (a) had declared to the employer at the time of joining service any place in Karnataka to be his home town; and (b) had studied in any Government or Government recognised educational institution or institutions located in Karnataka for a minimum period of seven years; and was or is liable to be transferred anywhere in India as per the terms and conditions of his employment.

  • The candidate should have passed the Q. E. from a University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India.

 
  • SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card.

  • 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate

  • Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Concerned Tahsildar- For SC / ST in Form-D, Category-I in Form-E and 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B in Form-F if applicable

  • A study certificate of th as per the KCET rankse parent employee for having studied for at least 7 years in the State of Karnataka from the Head of the educational institution where he / she had studied.

  • A home town declaration certificate of the parent employee while joining the service and showing that he is transferable anywhere in India issued by the employer.

K

  • Son or daughter of Members of Parliament elected from Karnataka. Further

  • The candidate should have passed the Q. E. from a University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India.

 
  • SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card.

  • 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate;

  • Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Concerned Tahsildar- For SC / ST in Form-D, Category-I in form-E and 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B in Form-F if applicable

  • Certificate showing that the parent is / was a Member of Parliament elected from Karnataka issued by the Parliament Secretariat.

L

  • Son or daughter of serving or retired employee:(a) belonging to All India Service of Karnataka cadre; and (b) of the Karnataka State Government, who has served or is serving outside the State of Karnataka during the period corresponding to Candidate's study outside the State from 1st standard to 2nd PUC or 12th standard examination can be added to make up the seven years study within Karnataka as required under clause (a) above

 
  • SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card.

  • 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate

  • Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Concerned Tahsildar- For SC / ST in Form-D, Category-I in Form-E and 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B in Form-F, if applicable

  • Certificate from the Principal Secretary / Deputy Secretary / Under Secretary, DPAR, Government of Karnataka, Bangalore where the parent belongs to All India Service of Karnataka cadre stating that the parent is a member of such All India Cadre. The certificate should also indicate the period during which he has served or is serving outside the state of Karnataka and if the parent is a State Government Employee, a certificate from the concerned Head of the Department or the Head of the Office where such parent is employed should be prod as per the KCET ranksuced in this regard

M

  • Son or daughter of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants, proof of such migration (IDENTITY CARD) should be obtained and produced from the jurisdictional "District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner" of any state in India.

 
  • SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card.

  • 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate along with

  • A original certificate (IDENTITY CARD) issued by the Jurisdictional District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of any state in India, as the proof of migration.

  • Note: The candidates who are claiming eligibility under clause 'm' are eligible only for the seats earmarked by the Government.

N

  • The candidates who have studied TEN full academic years in Kannada Medium from 1st standard to 10th standard in places outside the state of Karnataka

  • Provided the candidate should have studied and passed the qualifying examination from any Government or Government recognised educational institution

Note: Such candidates need not appear for Kannada Language Test conducted by KEA.

  • SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card.

  • 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card ofthe candidate along with

  • A domicile certificate issued by the concerned Revenue or Municipal Authorities certifying that the candidate and his/her father / mother have resided outside the  as per the KCET ranksstate of Karnataka as on 01-05-2017. The place of the Issuing authority should correspond to the place of domicile of the candidate / father / mother.

  • Candidate's Study certificate, for having studied in Kannada Medium from 1st standard to 10th standard issued by the head of the institution

O

  • Son / Daughter of working or Retired employee in Central Armed Police Force service, who at the time of joining the CAPF service (Central Armed Police Force) had declared their hometown as a place in the State of Karnataka

  • The candidate should have passed the Q. E. from a University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India

 
  • SSLC / 10th standard Marks Card

  • 2nd PUC / 12th standard Marks Card of the candidate

  • Caste / Caste Income Certificate issued by Concerned Tahsildar as per the prescribed format

  • Parent's home town declaration certificate while joining the service issued by Record Office of the CAPF unit, where the parents service records are maintained

Karnataka CET (KCET) 2017 Counselling Procedure

 

The entire counselling process of Karnataka CET 2017 as per the schedule given above. The applicants will have to complete their document verification, thereafter registration, option entry and finally seat allotment to get admission into the participating institutes under Karnataka CET 2017. The following procedure can be followed by the applicants who are selected for the KCET counselling session.

Step 1 –Registration & Verification of Documents

  • The applicants must report to their closest Helpline Centre for document verification.as per the notified schedule given above

  • Only upon verification of documents and issue of verification slip, candidates can participate in option entry.

  • After verification, candidates will be issued a verification slip and they are required to verify the printed data on the verification slip

  • All candidates who complete their verification will be given a unique user ID and Password

The applicants will have to bring the original documents along with one set of photocopies. After verification, the original documents will be returned to the applicants while the photocopies will be retained by the admission committee. In addition to the documents mentioned above, candidates will also have to carry the following documents

Step 2 – Choice Filling and Locking

  • To fill and lock their choice of colleges and courses, candidates will have login by entering their allotted User ID and Password.

  • The category wise, course wise and college wise seat matrix will be uploaded on the website.

  • Candidates must select their preferred colleges and courses as per their eligibility in the order of their preference.

  • There is no limit to the number of options being entered.

  • The options entered by the candidate for the first round will remain same for all the rounds of seat allotment.

  • Candidates will not be allowed to edit or change their options after final submission.

  • The priority of options entered by the candidate will be shown on the option entry module by obtaining the candidate credentials.

  • The candidate may delete or alter the order of higher options only prior to the final submission during first round.

  • Candidates will be allowed to add new options for any colleges and course that are added anew in the seat matrix after the first round.

 

Step 3 - Seat Allotment of Karnataka CET 2017

  • KEA will allot the seats online only in the order of merit and based on the priority of options entered by the candidates.

  • Since the list of the allotted applicants will be published in online mode, candidates have to log in and download their admission/seat allotment letter.

  • The selected applicants will have to take a print out of the admission letter and report at their allotted institute.

  • Payment of fees have to be done after which the admission of the applicants will be confirmed.

 

Only those applicants who manage to meet the cutoff of Karnataka CET 2017 will be allowed to participate in the counselling session. If the applicants fail to register and get themselves verified then they will not be allotted any seats.
