Karnataka CET (KCET) Seat Allotment 2017 - The admission committee of Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will be conducting the seat allotment process tentatively in the month of June 2017. Those applicants who have qualified the entrance examination will be shortlisted for admissions. The counselling and seat allotment process will provide the applicants admissions into the various participating engineering institutes of the state of Karnataka. Karnataka CET (KCET) 2017 seat allotment mode will be online. The selected applicants will be allotted seats based on their ranking in the merit list and selection of college and courses during counselling. The process of KCETSeat Allotment 2017 is a part of the counselling process. The available engineering seats will be filled with the eligible applicants during this period of time. All of the applicants who wish to participate in the seat allotment process will have to qualify the entrance examination, which will be held on May 2 and May 3, 2017 with the necessary marks.
Karnataka CET Counselling 2017
During the counselling session of Karnataka CET 2017, the qualified applicants will have to visit the Helpline Centres and successfully register themselves for the process. Verification of documents will also be done following which the qualified applicants will be given a User ID, Password and Unique Keyword. The applicants will have to log in with the given credentials and select their preferred colleges and courses. There is no limit to the number of colleges and courses which can be selected for the allotment procedure.

Karnataka CET Seat Allotment 2017
After the successful registration of the applicants and choice locking, the procedure of seat allotment of Karnataka CET 2017 will commence. The applicants will be allotted as per their category, ranking, preference of colleges and courses and availability of seats.
First Round of KCET 2017 Seat Allotment
First Phase: The allotment of seats will be done in online mode. If the applicant who are allotted seats in the first round are also allotted in the second round, then the first round allotment will get cancelled. As soon as the last seat and rank are alloted, the seat allotment process will end.
Second Phase: The same process as the first phase will be followed. If, after the conclusion of the first round there are still unfilled seats left under Rural and Kannada Medium quota reserved categories then it will be converted into the General reserved categories. The list of conversion is given in the table below.

Third Phase: The remaining unfilled seats under General reserved categories, with reserved special category seats will be converted to the General merit category and will be offered to the applicants of that category.
Confirmation/Rejection of First Round of KCET Seat Allotment 2017
The applicants who get alloted in the first round of seat allotment will be able to select their choice from the options provided below. If the applicant fails to select any of the choices then his/her allotment will get cancelled.
Choice 1: If the applicant is satisfied with the allotted institute then he/she will have to download the Challan and pay the tuition fees at the nearest bank. The admission order can be downloaded from the website after one hour from payment.
Choice 2: If the applicant is satisfied with the allotted seat but also wishes to participate in the next round of counselling for higher options. If the applicant is not allotted in the next round, his/her alloted seat in the first round will still be available.
Choice 3: If the applicant is not satisfied with the allotment but wishes to participate in the next round with the same entered options. The applicant will have to reject the seat to participate in the next round.
Choice 4: If the applicant is not satisfied with the seat and will get a seat in any other option.
Second Round of KCET Seat Allotment 2017
The unfilled/surrendered/cancelled/fortified or newly added applicants will be allotted seats in the second round.
Those applicants who chose Choice 2 and 3 in the first round will also be eligible for admission.
The allotment process will be the same as the first round.

Extended Second Round of KCET 2017 Seat Allotment
The eligibility of the applicants participating in this round will be the same as the second round.
If the applicants are not allotted in this round then the seats allotted to them in the previous round will get confirmed.
The applicants will also be allowed to modify/alter/re-order their priority of options.
The applicants will have no choice to exercise in this round.
Withdrawal of Alloted Seats
If the applicant who was allotted during the first or second round of allotment and will report to the college, wishes to surrender/cancel the seat before the second extended round, then a processing fee of Rs. 5000 will be deducted and the remaining fees will be returned.
The entire fee will be forfeited if the applicant who was allotted seats surrenders the seat during and after the completion of the second extended round.
If the applicant fails to return the original admission order, bank challan, green card and verification slip, then he/she will not be allowed to surrender or cancel the seats.
If the applicant reports for admission and later leaves the college, then he/she will have to surrender the seat back to KEA. The admission committee will have to check that the Government Quota Seats will be available to all the meritorious applicants.
