Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is conducting the KCET counselling 2025.
The KCET 2025 Counselling will be conducted in online mode.
To participate in the counselling of KCET 2025, candidates have to fill out their choice of colleges and courses for admission.
KCET 2025 seat allotment is done of KCET merit, preferences and availability of seats.
The KCET 2025 option entry dates is July 8 to 22, 2025.
With a KCET rank of 93,503 and you belonging to the OBC 3A category, it is difficult to get admission into top colleges like RV College of Engineering, BMS College, MSRIT, or PES University for the Computer Science (CSE) course. These colleges usually close CSE admissions much earlier, often below 20,000 rank.
You may have a chance to get CSE in some private or newer engineering colleges. These colleges sometimes accept students with ranks above 90,000, especially in later rounds of counseling. You can also try for related branches like Information Science (ISE), Artificial Intelligence, or Electronics and Communication (ECE), which may have slightly higher closing ranks in some colleges.
It’s also a good idea to apply in the second or third round of counseling. Seats sometimes become available when others leave or upgrade their options. You can also check if some colleges have management quota seats where your rank may not matter as much.
For better chances, you should also keep options open for smaller or rural engineering colleges across Karnataka that still offer the CSE course.

With a KCET rank of 10115, you may get admission in decent Bangalore-based engineering colleges like Dayananda Sagar College, Acharya Institute of Technology, or NMIT, but AI in CSE is highly competitive. You might get it in newer or private institutions
Hello,
With a KCET rank of around 49,000, your chances for admission to CSE, especially with a specialization in AI and ML, are quite low. CSE (Computer Science Engineering) and its specializations like AI and ML in top-tier colleges usually require ranks under 8,000, and even more competitive under 3,000 to 5,000 for general CSE.
KCET Cutoffs: CSE and AI/ML (General Category)
RV College of Engineering (RVCE): AI and ML closing rank around 1,341; CSE closing rank around 606 to 636
Ramaiah Institute of Technology (RIT): AI and ML closing rank around 3,675; CSE closing rank around 1,024
Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT): AI and ML closing rank around 12,835; CSE closing rank around 10,899
PES University: AI and ML closing rank around 4,030; CSE closing rank around 4,030
These figures are based on previous years or expected trends for 2025 and are only indicative.
At a rank of approximately 49,000, your options are:
CSE or AI and ML are generally not available at most top colleges through the general quota
Some lower-tier or less competitive private institutions may offer seats in AI/ML or CSE, but mainly through reserved categories or management quota
For reference, general category cutoffs for CSE and AI/ML in mid-tier colleges usually fall within the range of 10,000 to 20,000.
Suggestions Based on Your Rank:
1. Explore Other Branches at Private Colleges
Fields like Information Science, Electronics, or Data Science may have wider entry ranges, typically around ranks 15,000 to 30,000 or higher.

Hi dear candidate,
There are various colleges available for your rank like BMS Institute of Technology, Dayanand Sagar Academy of Technology etc. But AI/ML is a very high in demand branch which is very competitive so, getting a top tier college is difficult. But the colleges mentioned above should be worth trying as they accept admissions with higher rank as well but you may need to wait till at least 2nd round of seat allocation.
