KEAM Score calculation - New changes on account of modifications in the KEAM Answer Key 2017.
The admission committee after evaluating the objections sent in by students has deleted certain questions in the question papers.
KEAM Paper Paper 1:
One question from Physics and 2 questions in Chemistry have been deleted. No student has been awarded marks for these questions. Therefore evaluation has been done based on the following
Physics: 71 questions
Chemistry: 46 questions
Therefore KEAM 2017 Score for Paper 1 = Chemistry marks + Physics marks
Chemistry marks (corrected to four decimal places) = Actual score obtained in Chemistry x 48/46
Physics marks (corrected to four decimal places) = Actual score obtained in Physics x 72/71
KEAM Paper Paper 2:
Four questions from Mathematics have been deleted. No student has been awarded marks for these questions. Therefore evaluation has been done based on the following
Mathematics: 116 Questions
Therefore KEAM 2017 Score for Paper 2 Mathematics (corrected to four decimal places) = Actual score obtained in Mathematics x 120/116
The above formula has been applied to award proportionate scores based on the score obtained by the candidate for the questions considered for evaluation. This excludes the deleted questions and allows for compensation the loss of scores for the deleted questions. The valuation of the OMR sheets is computerised and hence is error free. Revaluation requests, therefore, will not be entertained by the committee.
