List of GFTI colleges in India under JEE Main - Candidates can check this page for the list of GFTI colleges in India under JEE Main. GFTI colleges are Government-funded Technical Institutes. The provide admission through the JEE Main exam and the qualifying exam merit, that is, class 12th. As per last year data, there were 40 GFTI colleges in India that participated in the JoSAA counselling. The GFTI seat matrix was 9402 for the previous year.

The JEE Main is a nationwide computer-based engineering exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission in undergraduate courses (BE, BTech, BPlanning, BArch) at top engineering colleges, including NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, and other institutions, universities participating by state governments in India.
Candidates who qualify the NTA JEE Main 2025 need to register for JoSAA counselling for GFTI admission. GFTI College Cutoff
The GFTI college cutoff is mainly judged and accepted based on the candidate's JEE Main score obtained. Students who clear the JEE Main exam are eligible for admission to government-funded technical institutes. The JEE Main Cutoff for GFTIs authority is available for each round of JoSAA counselling. Generally an income certificate isn't required for the JEE Main registration, but if you want to claim the EWS quota, then you need this. You must provide the certificate, issued by a government authority, as proof of your family's income being below the specified limit for the reservation category you wish to apply under.

Yes, as JEE does accepts improvement examination scores, so you must go for it but most of the state boards have already conducted or are conducting their 2025 improvement exams. If you have already given your improvement that's fine. If you have not given improvement this year then you can take your improvement next year.
