Last date for MHT CET 2017 application form is March 23. According to DTE officials, MHT CET application form 2017 is available with a late fee of Rs. 500 from March 24 to March 30. Aspiring candidates are required to register online and confirm their application submission through candidate log in. The application fee of MHT CET 2017 can be paid through Credit Card/Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), IMPS, Internet Banking, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets. MHT CET 2017 will be conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra on May 11 for admissions to engineering, health sciences and pharmacy programmes available across the state engineering colleges of Maharashtra. Maharashtra state engineering colleges would admit students to their undergraduate engineering programmes on the basis of MH CET/MHT CET till 2013, however, DTE Maharashtra scrapped MHT CET and admissions into B.Tech/B.E. programmes across the state engineering colleges were offered through JEE Main in the academic year 2014 and 2015. Further, in the year 2016, DTE Maharashtra reintroduced MHT CET for undergraduate engineering admissions. Thus, after the reintroduction in 2016, the academic year 2017-18 would be the second year for conducting MHT CET across the participating institutes of MHT CET 2017. What's new in MHT CET 2017?

 

No offline application fee payment option is available for admission year 2017-18 unlike last year where bank challan facility was available for application fee payment.

 

For admission year 2017, while filling the MHT CET 2017 application form Aadhaar Card Number will be required.  

 

Educational eligibility criteria for admission to B.Tech/B.E. programmes for 15% All India Quota seats through MHT CET 2017 in private unaided colleges/institutions has been changed from the academic year 2017-18. According to the new eligibility criteria, unlike previous years, candidates seeking admission under 15% All India Quota seats need not to appear in MHT CET 2017, as the candidates will be admitted under this quota based on the merit list of JEE Main 2017 Paper I Score. However, as per DTE Maharashtra officials, in case seats in this 15% All India Quota remain vacant, then the seats will be offered to candidates of MHT CET 2017 as per their merit prepared on the basis of their CET score.

 

MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2017 

 

The Eligibility Criteria of MHT CET  2017 are the conditions that are required by the candidates to be met in order to be considered eligible for the entrance exam. MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2017 includes eligibility conditions like academic qualification, age, marks and percentage secured in the qualifying marks, number of attempts, etc.

 

MHT CET 2017 Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech/B.E. admissions differ for different category of candidates and for home state candidates and outside Maharashtra candidates.

  • Applicants are required to have passed class XII or equivalent examination in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) with atleast 50% aggregate marks from any recognized board/university.Check below

  • Eligibility requirement for qualifying exam for all other categories (SC, ST and OBC) is 45% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM).


MHT CET Application Form 2017 

 

The Application Form of MHT CET 2017 is now available from February 14 to March 23. MHT CET Application Form 2017 is made available by DTE Maharashtra, which is the exam conducting authority for MHT CET 2017. The application form of MHT CET 2017 is available online. Candidates must bear in mind to keep ready scanned images and photograph of the signature in the required dimensions before filling up MHT CET 2017 application form.

 

Steps to fill MHT CET 2017 Application Form

  • Click on the link here to register by entering personal details like email ID, phone number, etc 

  • During the registration, the applicants have to create their own password. Preserve this password for all future communications and references.

  • After registration process is complete, start filling in the online application form

  • Once they have filled the application form of MHT CET 2017, the desirous candidates are required to upload their photograph and signature not more than 50 KB in size.

  • Now they have to pay the application fee, which can be done only through online mode. The online application fee payment channels for MHT CET 2017 are Credit Card/Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), IMPS, Internet Banking, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets. Once the fee payment is done, candidates must take printout of the confirmation page of the application form submission page after the application filling process is complete. This printout is not supposed to be sent through post.

MHT CET Exam Pattern 2017 

 

The Exam Pattern of MHT CET 2017 gives details to the aspiring candidates about how the question paper of MHT CET 2017 would be? MHT CET Exam Pattern 2017 gives detailed information about the type of questions that come in the entrance test, mode of the test, sectional weightage given to different subjects, marking scheme, total number of questions, etc. Before preparing for the entrance test, it’s important for aspirants to completely understand the test pattern of MHT CET 2017.   • Aspiring candidates for undergraduate engineering programmes need to appear in Paper I and Paper III.

  • For Health Science degree and other courses, the candidates have to appear in Paper II.

  • For incorrect answers, there will be no negative marking.

  • Each of three subjects, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will have 50 questions each, making it a total of 150 questions.

  • Each correct answer in Physics and Chemistry will be awarded 1 mark, while each correct answer in Mathematics section will be given 2 marks.

  • Each paper will be allotted 1.30 hours or 90 minutes

  • For physics and chemistry, the test will be conducted in English or Urdu or Marathi while Mathematics will be conducted in English only.  

  • MHT CET 2017 will be offline or Pen & Paper based test wherein candidates have to blacken the answer options on OMR sheet.


 

MHT CET Admit Card 2017 

 

The Admit Card of MHT CET 2017 will be made available from April 24 to May 11, 2017 by DTE Maharashtra for candidates who have successfully filled in the application form of MHT CET 2017. The admit card of MHT CET 2017 can be downloaded by the candidates by entering the Application Number, Password (obtained during MHT CET 2017 Application Form submission) and Security Key. MHT CET 2017 Admit Card is an important document, hence candidates must ensure that they don’t damage the admit card and carry it to the test centre on the exam day.

 

Note: Without a valid admit card of MHT CET 2017, no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall or take the entrance test.

  • Candidate’s signature

MHT CET Result 2017 

 

The Result of MHT CET 2017 will be announced for candidates who have taken the national level engineering entrance test for B.Tech programmes on or before June 4, 2017. Through MHT CET 2017 Result, DTE Maharashtra will release rank card/marksheet online of the examinees. MHT CET 2017 Result will carry the actual scores of the candidates they have secured in MHT CET 2017. Candidates have to download their result of MHT CET 2017 by entering thei application number, password and security key. MHT CET 2017 examinees must not forget to take printout of their MHT CET 2017 result and should keep it safe till the admissions are over. The test takers must carry MHT CET 2017 Admit Card, along with application form & challan printouts/valid Photo ID proof for identity verification to the exam centre on the examination examination centres. A separate merit list will be prepared by as per the scores of the candidates for different B.Tech courses.

 


 

MHT CET Merit List 2017 

 

The Merit List of MHT CET 2017 will be released by DTE Maharashtra for candidates who have appeared for the state level engineering entrance test. DTE Maharashtra releases a provisional merit list of MHT CET 2017 for admissions to B.Tech programmes across the participating institutes of MHT CET 2017 after document verification of the examinees and cross-checking their eligibility. However, the examination authority further releases MHT CET merit list 2017. Admissions to the state engineering colleges of Maharashtra will be based on test takers Merit/Rank List of MHT CET 2017.


MHT CET Syllabus 2017 

 

The Syllabus of MHT CET 2017 is prescribed by DTE Maharashtra for candidates aspiring for B.Tech admissions through MHT CET 2017. The syllabus of MHT CET 2017 will be the same as that of HSC exam of HSC Board of Maharashtra. Candidates aspiring to appear in MHT CET 2017 must prepare for the entrance examination basis the syllabus of MHT CET 2017, which will help them prepare in an organised manner without getting troubled about what to expect in the entrance test and what not to. 


MHT CET Counselling 2017 

 

The Counselling of MHT CET 2017 will be conducted by DTE Maharashtra on the basis of merit of the examinees in MHT CET 2017. DTE Maharashtra conducts counselling, seat allotment and admission process for qualifying candidates of MHT CET 2017 into undergraduate engineering programmes across the engineering colleges in the state. DTE Maharashtra will also announce the closing rank of all engineering institutes/colleges of MHT CET once the counselling is over. The counselling process of MHT CET 2017 involves the following stages:

  • Seat Allotment

  • Reporting to the allotted engineering colleges


MHT CET Cutoff 2017 

 

The Cutoff of MHT CET 2017 is the closing rank at which admissions to undergraduate engineering programmes across the participating institutes of MHT CET 2017 gets closed. MHT CET 2017 cutoff will be announced by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra on the basis of several factors like the total number of candidates appeared in the test, availability of the seats, difficulty level of the entrance test, etc. DTE Maharashtra has not yet released the cutoff for MHT CET 2017.
