MHT CET Merit List 2017 – DTE Maharashtra has announced MHT CET 2017 Final Merit List in online mode. Candidates can check their merit ranks by entering their application ID and date of birth by clicking on the "Check Final Merit List Status" link given below. Earlier, the provisional merit list of MHT CET 2017 was made available in online mode. The MHT CET 2017 merit list features all the eligible candidates who have qualified in the entrance exam held on May 11, 2017. Candidates who have any grievances were given time to file the same from June 20 till 21. Seat allotment of MHT CET 2017 will be on the basis of the merit rank of the candidate as per the given MHT CET 2017 merit list and the choice filling done. Tie Breaking Method of MHT CET 2017 Merit List
While preparing the merit list, some situations may arise when two or more applicants secure the same scores in the examination. During these situations, the admission committee will break the tie using the following method as per the order.
The total number of negative responses in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together will be considered. The candidates with the lowest number of negative responses will be given preference.
The candidates with higher marks in Maths will be preferred.
Those candidates with higher marks in Chemistry will be preferred.
The candidates who have scored higher percentage aggregate marks in the qualifying examination will be given preference.
Finally, the candidate senior in age will be given preference over the younger candidate.
The counselling session of MHT CET 2017 has started from June 5 with registration, document verification, publication of the merit lists and seat allotment. The candidates will be allotted seats based on their ranking in the merit list and fulfilment of eligibility criteria. Only those candidates who are present in the merit list will be given admissions through the Centralized Allotment Process (CAP). The candidates will have to report at their allotted institute for document verification, payment of tuition fees and confirmation of admission. There will be three rounds of counselling followed by an additional round for Govt and Govt aided institutes only.
