MHT CET Seat Allotment 2017 - The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra has announced the dates for the MHT CET 2017 seat allotment. The authorities will be announcing the online MHT CET 2017 seat allotment in three rounds followed by an additional round. The first round of MHT seat allotment will be announced on June 28, the second round on July 7 followed by the thrid round on July 16. The applicants were required to register themselves first for the counselling and seat allotment process. The allotment of seats will be done through Centralized Allotment Process (CAP). All of the applicants will have to be successfully registered for the seat allotment process. Without registering, no applicants will be able to participate in the MHT CET 2017 seat allotment process. All eligible applicants will be allotted seats based on their rankings in the merit list and secured scores in the entrance examination. Only those applicants who have successfully qualified the entrance examination will be able to proceed further in the admission procedure of MHT CET. The registration and document verification session falls under the counselling procedure of MHT CET 2017. Based on the choices made, the allotments of seats are done through online mode. After the successful allotment, the applicants will have to confirm their admission. The entrance examination was held on May 11, 2017, has to be qualified by the applicant otherwise he/she will not be eligible for admission.

The applicants had to successfully register themselves for the seat allotment process. The counselling application form had to be filled by the applicants with all of their personal, academic, category and communication details. The selection of college and course also has to be done by the applicants. The counselling fee also has to be paid by the applicants as per his/her category.
Verification of Documents
After registering themselves, the applicants will had to visit the Facilitation Centres (FC) for verification of documents. If the applicants failed to verify their documents then they will not be allotted seats. The following original documents will have to be submitted for verification:

MHT CET Seat Allotment 2017
The admission committee will be conducting the MHT CET 2017 seat allotment in three rounds. The entire allotment process will be done in online mode. The admission committee will be allotting the seats through Centralized Allotment Process (CAP). All of the seats will be allotted based on the applicant’s choice, rank and score of the applicant and availability of seats. The higher ranked applicants in the merit list will be allotted first during the MHT CET 2017 seat allotment. Higher the ranks, the closer the applicants will be allotted to their preferred seats.
What after MHT CET 2017 Seat Allotment?
1.Reporting to Admission Reporting Centre: Candidates must log in and download their provisional seat allotment letter. The letter will display information about the allotted institute and course. Candidates must report to the nearest admission reporting centre to confirm their admission. They must also indicate their choice for the subsequent rounds of MHT CET 2017 counselling through Freeze, Side or Float options. They must log in and indicate their choice of options for participation in the subsequent rounds of counselling.
Freeze Option: Candidates who are satisfied with their allotment and do not wish to take part in the further rounds of counselling of MHT CET 2017 must choose this option. They will not be considered for the subsequent rounds of allotment.
Slide Option: Candidates who accept the allotment offered to them but wish to upgrade to a higher preference of course within the same institute where they have taken admission to, they must exercise this option. They will be considered for the next rounds. If they get a higher preferred course, their previous allotment stands cancelled.
Float Option: Candidates who have been allotted a seat but wish to upgrade to a programme of higher preference at any institute, they must exercise this option. They will be considered for the seat allotment during the other rounds of counselling. If they get any allotment of their choice to a higher preferred course, they will be upgraded and their earlier allotment will stand cancelled.
Who are eligible for the CAP 2 & 3 Seat Allotment?
- Candidates who have not been allotted any seat in any of the previous rounds or who did not participate (Failure of
- filling option form) in the previous round
- Candidates who have taken and cancelled their admission in the earlier rounds
- Candidates who have rejected the offered seat by not reporting to the Admission Reporting Centre
- Candidates who had selected Freeze option in earlier rounds but are desirous of changing the option to Float or Slide in these rounds.
Guidelines for Seat Allotment of MHT CET 2017 for CAP Round 2 & 3
Candidates who get a better allotment in each must change the option for "Freeze’, ‘Slide’ or ‘Float’ to ensure that their new allotment is confirmed else their earlier options from CAP round 1 will be carried forward.
For an allotment of a higher preferred course, the earlier allotted seat will stand cancelled.
Slide and Float options will not be available to candidates who have been allotted their first choice from their option entry form.
Candidates who fail to report for the acceptance of allotted seat at Admission Reporting Center in scheduled time will forfeit their seat and will not be allowed to participate further in the process unless they have filled in Conduct of CAP Round-II and III.
Candidates are allowed to edit their choices before the start of the CAP rounds 2 & 3 by submitting an application to the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) where they have confirmed their admission by paying
the seat acceptance Fee
Slide and Float options are not available for the seats allotted in CAP Round III, as it is final CAP Round.
Reporting to allotted institute: All candidates who have confirmed their allotment have to confirm and complete their admission formalities.
