TANCA Counselling 2017: Anna University will be conducting the counselling session of Tamil Nadu Common Admissions (TANCA) tentatively from the month of June 2017. The seat allotment and counselling of TANCA 2017 will be held in offline mode for all those applicants who have qualified TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) or GATE 2017. The eligible applicants will have to register themselves for the TANCA 2017 counselling session. The application form will be available tentatively from May 2017. The merit list of the registered applicants will be published in June before the counselling session begins. All of the selected applicants will have to physically report at the venue for TANCA counselling 2017. Verification of documents will be also done during the counselling process. Allotment of seats will be done as per the ranking of the applicant in the merit list as well as his/her preference mentioned in the application form. Only those applicants who meet all of the eligibility criteria will be allotted seats into the participating institutes under TANCA 2017 counselling. Over 300 institutes will be participating under TANCA 2017. All applicants who have passed TANCET and GATE with the required marks will be allowed to participate in the counselling of TANCA 2017. The counselling session will commence for all selected applicants from June 2017.

TANCA 2017 Counselling Registration Procedure
The application form of TANCA 2017 will be available for all eligible applicants tentatively from May 2017. The applicants will have to register themselves online by filling in their personal, academic and contact information. All information submitted has to be valid. Unregistered applicants will not be allowed to to participate in TANCA 2017 Counselling session. The application fees will also have to be paid. Read TANCA Application Form 2017 for more information.
TANCA Merit List 2017
Anna University will be releasing the list of selected applicants for the counselling session tentatively in June 2017. The merit list will consist of the ranking of the applicants as per their secured scores in the entrance examination. Separate merit list will be prepared for the applicants who have qualified GATE and those who have qualified TANCET 2017.
TANCA Counselling 2017
The counselling session of TANCA 2017 will be held in offline mode tentatively from June 2017. All of the applicants listed in the merit list will have to physically report at Anna University for the counselling and seat allotment process. Before reporting for the counselling, the applicants should have downloaded their call letter from the official website using their TANCA application number, name and date of birth. In case the applicants are unable to be present physically for the counselling session due to unforeseen reasons then he/she can:
Authorize his/her parent to attend the counselling session. An authorization letter given by the applicant should be submitted by the parents.
Attend on a subsequent date/time during the counselling period. However, the applicants will be able to opt only for the seats available at that time.
Document Verification of Applicants
Verification of the original documents submitted by the selected applicants will have to be done. In case the applicant has deposited all of the certificates where he/she has already been admitted, then a letter from the head of that institution should be produced. In such cases, attested photocopies of the documents will be accepted. The following original documents should be presented for verification:
GATE 2017 Score Card for GATE category applicants
TANCET Hall Ticket 2017 for TANCET category applicants
10th standard Mark Sheet
12th standard Mark Sheet or Diploma Certificate
Qualifying Degree Certificate, Provisional Certificate and Mark Sheets of all semesters or consolidated mark sheet.
Transfer Certificate from Institute last attended.
Permanent Community Certificate (if required)
PwD Certificate (if applicable)
Nativity Certificate (if applicable)
Copy of Identification Certificate obtained from recognized authorities.
Passport and letter registered in Police Station (For Sri Lankan Refugee candidates)
Experience Certificate (if applicable)
Seat Allotment Process
After the verification of documents is successfully completed, the applicants will be allotted seats. The allotment of seats will be done depending upon the merit of the applicants as per the reservation norms of Government of Tamil Nadu. The availability of seats during counselling also play a role during allotment process. An applicant can get allotted to only one programme.
TANCA Counselling Fees
The allotted applicants will be required to pay the counselling fees. The payment of the fees has to be done through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of “The Secretary, TANCA, Anna University” payable at Chennai. Once a seat is allotted, the counselling fees will be adjusted towards the tuition fees to be paid at the allotted institutes.

Reporting at Allotted Institute
Finally after the counselling session is over, the applicants will have to report at their allotted institutes with the payment receipt, seat allotment letter and other documents mentioned above. The remaining tuition fees will have to be paid by the applicants to confirm their admission. Failure to report at the allotted institute or pay the fees will lead to the disqualification of the applicants.
