UPESEAT Exam 2026: Date, Application Form, Syllabus, Pattern, Admit Card, Result, Cutoff

The University of Petroleum & Energy Studies will release the UPESEAT 2026 eligibility criteria on the official website. Applicants of the examination must check the UPESEAT eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. The eligibility criteria of UPESEAT 2026 comprise age limit, educational qualification, and performance in entrance exams. Only those applicants who fulfil the UPESEAT 2026 eligibility criteria can fill out the application form. Age Limit: All the candidates applying for admission to the University will be required to have an age of less than or equivalent to 22 years i.e., they should be born on or after October 1, 2002 to be eligible to apply.

There are two separate admission processes: the non-examination and the Board exam merit. The eligibility criteria of UPESEAT 2026 for the non-examination pathway are the same as the general criteria mentioned above in addition to the score received in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main).

JEE Main Merit Eligibility Criteria - Students having a JEE percentile of more than 50 are eligible for direct admission.

Board Exam Merit Eligibility Criteria - Applicants need to get a minimum aggregate of 80% in their Class 10 and higher secondary (12th) exams, and a minimum aggregate of 80% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

NOTE: Candidates should appear for centralised counselling through merit rank for the non-exam category (JEE/Board exam merit).

UPES will conduct the Phase 1 UPESEAT 2026 exam registration in September 2025. Candidates will be allowed to fill out the UPESEAT application form on the official website, upes.ac.in. Step 1 - Registration
Applicants first have to complete the UPESEAT 2026 registration from the official website. Candidates have to provide details like Name, Date of birth, Gender, Nationality, Email ID, Mobile number, City, State, Course you are applying for, and other information in the UPESEAT registration. Step 2: Input the One Time Password (OTP) 
After submitting the details in the registration form, applicants will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number. Candidates have to submit the OTP in the required fields. Once OTP verification is done, applicants will receive a confirmation email on the registered email ID along with a username and password.

Step 3: Log-in & Confirm the Details 
In the next step, applicants have a login user username and password. After a successful UPESEAT 2026 login, applicants have to check all the details and submit the application form.

Step 4 - Payment of Application Fee 
After submitting all the details, applicants will be redirected to the payment gateway page. Applicants have to pay the UPESEAT application fee of Rs 1750/- online mode through Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card.

Step 5 - Entering Academic Details
In the next step, candidates have to enter their academic qualifications in the UPESEAT 2026 application form. Candidates must provide all the valid information and then submit the form. After submission, the UEPSEAT application form will be available for download. Candidates must download the application form for reference.

The exam conducting authority will release the UPESEAT exam pattern 2026 in the official notification. The exam conducting authorities do not release the answer key of UPESEAT. In case authorities release the UPESEAT 2026 answer key then it will be available through the candidate portal. The UPESEAT 2026 cutoff is the minimum mark required to qualify the UPES engineering aptitude test. Candidates who meet the UPESEAT 2026 cutoff will have to participate in the counselling process for admission to their desired course. UPESEAT 2026 Scholarships

The following scholarships will be provided to eligible candidates by the authorities. 

Merit-Based Scholarship - This scholarship will be provided to those candidates who had secured an aggregate of 80% marks in 10th and 12th standard and 80% marks in PCM for B.Tech in CBSE/ICSE/State Examination Board. Only 10% of seats of each B.Tech programme will be given the scholarship and will be based on merit. 50% of tuition fee will be waived off in the first semester. Continuation of Scholarship in the subsequent years will be as per the University policy.

Scholarship for Uttarakhand State Board Toppers - The seats under this category will be within 15% reservation for Uttarakhand resident students. Under this scholarship, 25% tuition fee waiver will be provided for boys and 35% fee waiver will be provided for girls. The scholarship is renewed as per merit scholarship policy of the University. The candidates under this category should have “Sthai Niwas Praman Patra” (Permanent Residence Certificate).
