IPU CET PG Application Details

IPU CET PG Application Form is completely online and candidates need to pay the fees also online. GATE qualified candidates are exempt from the IPU CET PG entrance test but have to fill in the IPU CET PG  Application Form along with the Non-GATE candidates.

 

Things to keep ready before filling IPU CET PG Application Form:

  • Photograph: A recent colour passport size photograph scanned in a file of .JPEG/.JPG or.GIF format only with a size less than 80 KB

  • Signature: Black/Blue Ink on a white paper scanned in a file of .JPEG/.JPG or.GIF format only with a size less than 80 KB

  • The left hand thumb impression on a white paper in a file of .JPEG/.JPG or.GIF format only with a size less than 80 KB

  • Debit/Credit Card/Net banking details

Important: Name of the Candidate, Name of Father/Mother and Date of Birth must be same as in class X or equivalent certificate. Candidates having many initials in their name must leave one blank space after each one.

 

How to Fill the IPU CET PG Application Form? 

Step 1: Candidates have to fill the following details-

  • Candidates have to fill exam category

  • Personal Details, Mailing Address and Contact Details

  • Candidates have to upload Photograph and Signature as specified above and click next to move to the next section of the Application Form for IPU CET PG

Step 2: Qualification Details:

  • Candidates have to fill details from Class X till Graduation or Post Graduation as the case may be.

  • They are also required to enter their GATE scores, if available.

Step 3: Candidates have to agree to the declaration and submit. It is to be noted that any editing to the personal or academic details must be made before final submission of the declaration.

 

Step 4: Generation of Login ID and Password-

  • Candidates are given a notification to note the generated Login ID and Password for future references. They must note them down and keep them safe

  • The details of the candidate's application form for IPU CET PG are displayed.

  • Note: These details cannot be printed.

Step 5: Course Application:

  • Candidates must enter their choice of course from the given list.

  • IPU CET PG  is held only in Delhi so they need not fill any exam centres.

IPU CET PG Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be Indian Nationals. They must have obtained a minimum of 60% in their qualifying exam specified below in detail. Their age should not be more than 35 years as on August 1 of the year in which exam will be conducted.

IPU CET PG Counselling Details

Counselling of IPU CET PG is held by the GGSIP University after the declaration of merit list.

 

Reservation of Seats:

  • Candidates may note that 85% seats are reserved for Delhi Region Candidates, i.e. those who have passed the qualifying examination from any Institute located in NCT of Delhi or from any College/Institute affiliated to GGSIP University.

  • 15% of the remaining seats are open to the Outside Delhi Region Candidates, i.e. those who have passed the qualifying examination from any institute located outside Delhi.

IPU CET PG Counselling Process:

  • The counselling is held in two rounds followed by an open round for vacant seats, if any.

  • GATE qualified candidates are given preference in the seat allotment over the non-GATE candidates.

  • Qualified candidates whose names figure in the IPU CET PG Merit List are required to report to the notified venue in person on the scheduled date and time for counselling/admission along with the documents.

  • After reaching the venue, candidates mark their attendance with the admission officer. Allotment of seats to the candidates is made only when he/she attends the counselling session in person.

  • The counselling processing fee (non-refundable) must be paid by candidates after marking their attendance.

  • Candidates are called in order of qualified & valid GATE Score/Merit first, and if seats remain vacant, then on the basis of CET merit/rank) for all programmes other than M.Tech. Biotechnology for which only GATE qualified candidates with valid score are eligible.

  • The candidates shall have to produce the required documents for verification. 

  • Seat allotment is announced on the basis of the merit and availability of seat at that point of time.

  • To confirm their seats, candidates must pay the requisite admission fee and obtain a duly signed admission slip from the admission officer.

  • Candidates must check details printed/written in the admission slip

  • No candidate should leave the venue of IPU CET PG counselling without receiving the admission slip.

  • Candidates, who fail to appear in person on the notified venue, date and time for counselling, shall forfeit their claim for the seat. However, if the candidate reports late or reports on subsequent days during the process of counselling, he/she may be considered for allotment of a seat available at that point of time for a particular category to which he/she belongs.

  • Students admitted in first counselling are not allowed to change the programme/institute during the subsequent days of first counselling. However, they may change the programme/institute during second counselling within the ambit of the programmes/institutes included in the specific CET Code.

  • The allotment is however subject to availability of vacant seats.

 Second Round of the IPU CET PG Counselling:

  • After the first round is completed, detailed schedule of second counselling for all the programmes, depending upon the number of vacancies created on account of withdrawal(s)/any other reason(s), is displayed online. The second counselling for all the programmes is tentatively held at the same venue as per the schedule given by the university.

  • Candidates who are absent in the first counselling are also allowed to attend the second counselling against the resultant vacancies.

  • Candidates who have attended the first counselling round of IPU CET and paid the fee need not pay the counselling processing fee to participate in the 2nd counselling.

  • Candidates allotted seats during first counselling are also advised to attend second counselling if they wish to change the programme/institute on the basis of their merit against the available vacant seat.

  • The procedure for counselling is same for this round too.
