MUOET PG Application Details

MU OET PG Application is available from third week of October onwards. The last date for filling application form is tentatively in third week of May. Applications are online and candidates can pay online or through DD. Candidates need not send the MU OET PG Application Form to the University unless the payment of the application fees is by DD.

 

 

Things to keep ready before filling MU OET PG Application Form:

  • A scanned colour photograph taken recently with light background (preferably white)

  • Scanned copy of signature of the candidate on a white paper using a black/blue pen

  • Size of the files must not exceed 200 KB with dimensions of 200 x 200 pixels

  • DD details if payment is by Demand Draft

  • Details of the qualifying Exam

Advanced Thermal Power & Energy Systems: 

Candidates should have passed BE/BTech or AMIE or equivalent in Mechanical or Industrial & Production or Manufacturing Science or Automobile Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering.

Astronomy & Space Engineering

Candidates should have passed BE/BTech or AMIE or equivalent in Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical Sciences - Electrical/Electronics/ Instrumentation, Mechatronics

Biomedical Engineering

Candidates should have passed BE/BTech or AMIE or equivalent in Biomedical Engineering or Medical Electronics or Electrical Sciences - Electrical or Electronics or Instrumentation 

Bioinformatics

Candidates should have passed BE/BTech (Biotechnology/ Biomedical / Environmental Engineering/ Chemical Engineering) / MSc. (Health Informatics/Physics/ Chemistry/ Biological Sciences / Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics / Information Sciences). A minimum of 50% seats are reserved for MSc candidate’s with50% aggregate and above in the qualifying examination. For M Sc candidates admissions are done based on the marks obtained in their qualifying examination and an interview.

Eligibility Criteria for ME Programmes: Candidates must have passed BE/BTech or equivalent in Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Information Science, Electrical and Electronics, Telecommunications, Bio- Medical Engineering, Medical Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.

Note: Candidates who have passed MSc (Mathematics) and MSc (Statistics) graduates are also eligible for ME (Big Data and Data Analytics).

 

Note: Such MSc graduates can apply for some seats reserved for them and are exempt from any entrance exam for admissions to the M.E (Big Data and Data Analytics) course.

MUOET PG Counselling Details

Manipal University holds MU OET PG Counselling tentatively in the month of July for candidates who have qualified in the entrance exam. Candidates must attend in person with the originals of the documents as specified for the university. They must also ensure to attend on the date and time as specified by the Manipal University for the MU OET PG Counselling.

 

 

Guidelines for MU OET PG Counselling

·         MU OET PG Counselling is held in the order of the MU OET PG Merit Ranks and the options of courses as per the preference of the candidates. Candidates will be notified of the counselling schedule with details of the date and time they need to report.

  • Candidates must attend counselling in person. If they are unable to attend the same due to unforeseen circumstances, they can authorize a representative with an authorization in the given format. Only this representative will be allowed in place of the candidates in such circumstances.
  • Candidates must attend MU OET PG Counselling with the original certificates along with two sets of the attested copies of the same.

Procedure for MU OET PG Counselling

  • Candidates should report as per their given schedule which is based on their MU OET PG rank for biometrics and document verification.

  • They must sign the attendance register and fill the registration form available at the registration counter at the counselling venue.

  • Their documents will be verified before seat allotment.

  • MU OET PG Seat Allotment will be on the basis of the MU OET PG Rank and availability of seats.

  • After allotment, candidates must pay the initial admission fees and complete their admission formalities.

  • Candidates should pay the course fee and registration fees by DD in favour of ‘Manipal University’ payable at Manipal or Udupi.

  • Upon completion of the admission formalities, candidates will be issued the receipts for the payments made along with the admission order.

  • Candidates must fill the application to open a State Bank of India account opening form for the issue of a combo ID card.

Important: The combo card will function as university photo identity card, access control card, ATM and debit card.  The combo card will not be issued if the account opening form is not submitted at the SBI counter.
