JEE Main 2013 Rank Predictor launched by Careers360

In a first of its kind, Careers360 introduces an exclusive tool called “JEE Main 2013 Rank Predictor” to predict the estimated rank of the candidates who appear for JEE Main 2013 exam.

With a novel system in place, this year onwards various premier institutes are taking admissions by giving 40% weightage to Class 12 exam marks and 60% weightage to JEE Main scores. Since there are 42 different Boards in the country that have entirely different evaluation systems and grading mechanism, it’s very difficult to calculate the estimated rank using the conventional methods.

Keeping in mind the complexities of calculating the JEE Main score and board exam marks to come to a conclusion on the estimated rank, we have launched this highly innovative product JEE Main 2013 Rank Predictor. Our tool uses a unique formula to estimate the rank of the student by taking into consideration both the Class 12 marks and the JEE Main exam score.

The formula that we use in JEE Main 2013 Rank Predictor is:

(cl + 0.5fi)/N*100

cl : is the count of all scores less than the score of candidate,

fi : is the number of students with the same score

N : is the number of examinees in the sample

The result thus obtained using this formula will help the student to get a very clear picture about:

  • His/her estimated rank in JEE Main 2013

  • His/her chances to get selected in the top 1.5 lakh candidates to appear for JEE Advanced 2013
