Eligibility Criteria for BHEL Recruitment through GATE 2017:
Candidates must be Indian Nationals
They must have qualified in GATE 2017 and must have valid scores to be considered for recruitment.
They must have completed a full time Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in the disciplines of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized Indian University/Institute.
Candidates who have passed a five year integrated Master’s degree or dual degree programme in Engineering or Technology are also eligible to apply
- Candidates must produce their Degree/Final year marks sheets by June 1, 2017 or at the time of Interview, whichever is earlier

27 Years (Candidates born before September 1, 1989 are not eligible to apply)
29 years for candidates having two years’ full time Post Graduate in Engineering or Business Administration/Management

Step 1 – Filling of the Application form: Candidates must enter all details as follows:

After submission of the above information, a ACKNOWLEDGEMENT NUMBER will be generated. This must be kept safely as it is required for logging in.
Step 2 - Uploading of Scanned images & documents: Candidates must upload the scanned images as given above.
Step 3 - Online Payment of Fee: Rs 300 for Gen/OBC candidates. There is no fee for SC?ST/Pwd candidates
Payment mode is online through Credit card/ Debit card/ Net banking
The form must be submitted and a printout of the same taken for future reference.
There is no need to send the printout to BHEL office.
Selection Procedure for BHEL Recruitment through GATE 2017:
Candidates will be shorlisted on the basis of valid GATE Scores obtained in the GATE 2017 exam. Shortlisted candidates will have to face a personal interview and clear it to be selected as Executive Trainees. The weightage to be given to the various stages of selection is given below.
Pay Scale: Rs.20,600 to Rs.46,500. After successful completion of training, candidates will be absorbed as Engineers in the scale of pay of Rs24900- 50500/- with a basic pay of Rs24900/- plus other benefits as per guidelines
Service Agreement Bond: Selected candidates will have to execute a service agreement bond of Rs 2,00,000/- to serve the Company (or any Government Department or Undertaking at the discretion of the Company) for a period of three years after successful completion of training. A Surety Bond executed by parents/ guardian/ reliable persons must also be furnished by the candidates
