Candidates, who have submitted online Application Form of GATE 2017 before the last date (October 10) and are willing to make minor changes in it, can do so between October 17 and 27, 2016. IIT Roorkee, the organizing IIT of the national level engineering test for 2017, has notified that interested candidates can send an email to [email protected] during the specified dates for making slight modifications in certain permitted cases (with document proof in attachment).

How to rectify minor mistakes in GATE 2017 Application Form?
Below given steps should be followed for making small modifications in the submitted application form-
The candidates need to send email to the above mentioned email address with relevant documents from their GATE 2017 registered email only.
The email subject should be “Correction in data (write your enrolment number here)”.
The corrections/modifications permitted are:
Name of candidate (only minor spelling with document proof)
Date of birth (minor change in date/ month/ year with document proof)
Name of parent/guardian (only minor spelling with document proof)
Status from General to OBC and OBC to General (with document proof)
Have you graduated in the above degree? (changes in Yes/No with document proof)
Year of qualifying degree (minor change in year with document proof)
Note: Any extra payment received by IIT Roorkee will be refunded after October 20, 2016 onwards.
Only those candidates will be contacted by sms and email, whose GATE 2017 Applications need to be rectified in photo/signature/TI/documents-degree, SC/ST/PwD.
Availability of GATE 2017 Admit Card on the online application interface for printing is scheduled for January 5. The online entrance tests will be held on February 4, 5, 11 and 12 by IIT Roorkee. The result will be announced on March 27.
