IIT Roorkee will make available GATE 2017 Admit Card for printing on online application interface on January 5, 2017 (Thursday). GATE admit card 2017 can be downloaded only by those candidates who have applied successfully, and it will not be sent by post/email. GATE admit card will contain important information like candidate’s name, exam date, time, slot, registration number, exam paper name, exam centre address and examination instructions. After downloading, all the entries made therein must be carefully examined. In case of any discrepancy, the candidate must immediately contact the examination authority.

- Find your job chances in various PSUs.
- Know the status of Application Dates for PSUs.
Candidates appearing for the national level engineering entrance test will have to bring a colored printout of the downloaded GATE admit card to test center along with the original and valid photo identification photocopy/scanned copy/invalid or expired identification. Those without original and valid photo identification will not be permitted to take the test.
Candidates can bring any of the identification proof like Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar UID, Valid College ID, Employee identification Card or Driving License, but it is necessary to carry that ID proof whose information was mentioned in GATE 2017 Application Form. For international candidates, only a valid Passport/Government issued ID/College ID/Employee ID will be accepted as the recognized identification.
GATE 2017 Admit Card should not be mutilated or the entries should not be changed, as this will result in cancellation of candidature. Moreover, it should be preserved till completion of examination process because it will be required at several stages of admission or PSU Recruitment.

IIT Roorkee will conduct the national level engineering entrance test on February 4, 5, 11 and 12 for PSU recruitment and admissions to M.Tech programmes at IITs and NITs. Every year, more than 8 lakh candidates appear for GATE. In 2016, as many as 9,71,831 candidates applied for the entrance exam, out of which 8,18,850 actually appeared in the test.
