HPCET 2017 Registrations to Start on March 2!
Himachal Technical University (HTU) has released the official dates for the admission procedure of Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) 2017. The online application process of HPCET 2017 will commence on March 2, 2017. The applicants will be able to fill and submit the online application form till April 29, 2017. HTU has also announced the official date for the entrance examination. The pen and paper based examination will be held on May 13, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
The application process and entrance examination for the M.Tech courses offered under HPCET 2017 will also be held in the same dates which have been announced by the admission committee.

To be officially registered for the examination, the applicants will have to successfully fill and submit the online application form of HPCET 2017. The applicants will be able to access the online application form from March 2, 2017 at the official website. The registration process is a 5 step procedure which the applicants will have to complete to be eligible for the entrance examination of HPCET.
Step 1 – The applicants will have to create a new account by registering themselves
Step 2 – Personal and academic details of the applicant has to be filled by the applicants
Step 3 – The photograph and signature of the applicant has to uploaded as per the required specifications.
Step 4 – Payment of the application fee has to be be done.
Step 5 – The applicants will have to submit the application form and take a print out which has to be signed by the parents and sent to the admission authority through email.
The eligibility criteria for admissions into the undergraduate course has also been announced alongside the dates. The applicants should have completed their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from a recognized board or University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following – Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject. The general category applicants should have secured atleast 45% marks as an aggregate of the above subjects whereas the reserved category applicants should have scored 40% marks.
The offline entrance examination of HPCET 2017 will be conducted on May 13, 2017. The state level exam will act as a gateway for admissions into the 18 participating institutes of under HPCET. The 3 hour long exam will consist of 150 questions and the total marks will be 300. The information brochure will also be published on March 2, 2017.
