Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2017 will be conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) on May 2 and 3 for admissions to undergraduate engineering programmes across the participating institutes of KCET. The state level entrance exam for Mathematics will be held on May 2 (2.30 pm to 3.50 pm), while the exam for Physics and Chemistry will be conducted on May 3, 2017.
According to KEA officials, the entrance test for Physics will be conducted from 10.30 am to 11.50 am, while the exam for Chemistry will be held from 2.30 pm to 3.50 pm on May 3.

The officials further notified that Kannada Language Test will be separately conducted on May 4 for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates. The entrance test for such candidates will be held only in Bangalore from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm on May 4.
The entrance test for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will carry 60 marks each, whereas Kannada Language Test will be for total 50 marks.
Apart from the test dates, KEA has not released any other details or dates partaining to KCET 2017. In 2016, the entrance exam was conducted across various exam centres in 53 cities of Karnataka. Over 1,50,000 candidates appear in this state level engineering entrance exam every year and more that 220 state engineering colleges participate in KCET for offering admissions to qualifying candidates in different B.Tech programmes.
