Important: Final Year / Semester students expecting their results by August 14, 2017 are also eligible, provided theymeet the given eligibility criteria of having a minimum of 65% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate up till the 7th semester.

How to apply for Power Grid Recruitment through GATE 2017?
Candidates will be required to register and fill their personal details, GATE 2017 Registration No and academic details.
Applicants must ensure that the details match those in the GATE 2017 application form.
After successful submission of the application for the Power Grid Recruitment through GATE 2017, an unique registration number will be generated.
Candidates will be able to download the completed application form which they must do in "Potrait"
They will receive an email also to their registered email ID after submission.
For subsequent log in to download the call letters, check shortlisted candidates, candidates must use their regsitered Email ID as the Login ID and the Power Grid registration no as password.
Important: Candidates must carry their original GATE Admit Card 2017 and GATE Score Card 2017 while reporting for the interview.
Selection Process for Power Grid Recruitment through GATE
Qualified candidates will be shortlisted category-wise for group discussion and personal interview based on their normalized marks out of 100 in GATE 2017, in the corresponding paper.
Candidates must qualify in the personal interview in order to be considered for empanelment. The qualifying percentage of marks in interview for different categories are mentioned below:

Weightage of different parameters
For calculation of final score of a candidate for empanelment, the weightages of marks obtained in GATE, Group Discussion and Interview shall be as indicated below:
GATE 2017 Marks (out of 100) in corresponding Paper
Only GATE 2017 score (normalized marks out of 100) is valid for this recruitment process. GATE score of 2016 or prior is not valid.
Pay Scale & Probation Details
Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 24900-50500 while undergoing the one year training period. On successful completion of their training, candidates will be absorbed as Engineer. Candidates may note that the CTC and other emoluments may vary based on the place of posting as well as the terms of appointment. The approximate CTC will include Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance, Perquisites and Allowance as per cafeteria approach, Performance Related Pay, Company Leased Accommodation / Company Quarters or HRA, Reimbursement of monthly conveyance expenditure, mobile facility, etc and will be as shown below. Candidates may note that this is the Cost to Company per annum.

Service Agreement Details
Selected candidates are required to execute a service agreement bond to successfully complete the one year trtaining period of one year and serve the organization for a minimum of 3 years. Candidates are required to execute a service bond for Rs 1,00,000/- for General/OBC (NCL) candidates. SC/ST/PwD candidates have to execute a bond of Rs 50,000/-.
