The latest notification from The Directorate of Technical Education of Maharashtra (DTE) has mentioned that the application process for the Maharashtra Technology - Common Entrance Test (MT-CET) 2013 will be online. Engineering or Pharmacy aspirants for the MT-CET 2013 will have the facility of applying online thus easing the process on both ends.

More than 3.5 lakhs of students are expected to apply for the MT-CET 2013 which will be held on May 16, 2013. This will be the first time the application process has been made online. The admission process is already an online one. Elaborating on this, Mr. SK Mahajan, Director of technical education mentioned that brochures will be made available to all the junior colleges affiliated to the board. He stated that students could apply easily from the 600 and more application centres that will be opened after the HSC examination in March. These centres would be assisting the students in all aspects of the online application process.

Students can also avail the application forms through the DTE website after March 2013. This will the first engineering entrance examination to be conducted by the DTE after a gap of nearly a decade. It also happens to be the last one since the students will have to attempt the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Main) from 2014.
