for CBSE Board students will be equated with the qualifying examination conducted by the State Board of Tamil Nadu using the Normalization method as follows:

Calculation of Normalization Marks = 100 x actual marks / highest marks of the same board
For example, a student scores 90 Marks in Math (CBSE) and the CBSE Toppers Marks in Maths are 95
Normalization Marks = 100*90/95=94.73648

Note: If the highest marks of a student (Tamil Nadu State Board) in a particular subject are 100 and the highest marks in the same subject of a student belonging to another board is 90 the highest marks for both the boards will be considered to be equal at 100.
